My Little Kitchen Mexican Food — Restaurant in Niles Township

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I've ordered from this place since they became apart of my neighborhood. Today I placed a pick up order over the phone. In total, I ordered 10 tacos, 2 beans, 2 rice. Six of the ten tacos were chicken. I asked for all tacos to be meat and cheese only. Well, all 6 chicken tacos had onions, peppers, and cheese. I called to make them aware of the incorrect tacos. The young lady I spoke with said no problem just call back when I'm on my way and they'll fix my order. When I called back, the older lady told me she can't cook unless she uses onion. Which to me, makes no sense because every time I order from them I say no onion or peppers. She told me she could remake it but the chicken will have onions. I said what's the difference if you don't add peppers but you'll still add onion? She then became very loud and told me she will just refund me. I brought the food back and she had the nastiest attitude ever. In the past she has been very pleasant. She rudely lectured me about how she uses onions in everything. But my steak and pork tacos didn't have onions. She finally refunded my order. If they could not make it without sautéed veggies, they should've stated that when I placed my order. For the record, chicken tacos and chicken fajita tacos are two different things. They list them as chicken tacos but it's really chicken fajita tacos. I WILL NOT BE BACK. OTHERS I'VE SENT TO PATRONIZE THIS EATERY WILL BE ADVISED OF THE HORRIBLE...

I've been coming here for lunches on occasion since they opened 7-8 years ago. Everything I've had here over the years has been excellent and everything is fresh. I especially enjoy the tacos camarones which is my go-to...that and their delicious made to order guacamole. Today instead of my usual, I went deeper into the menu and noticed they had enchiladas en mole. Making mole is a labor of love and can be really hit or miss but I hadn't had ANY mole dishes in years, so I pulled the trigger on that. Absolutely blew my mind!! Perfect blend of heat and spices with that subtle sweet chocolate profile up front and tapering off as the heat and spice caught up. Best mole I ever had without question!

For a little place (with its totally appropriate name,) to survive in a non-descript, strip-mall storefront, in a smallish community like this is an anomaly. The obvious reason is they consistently turn out exceptional table fare, creating a loyal repeat customer...

My husband and I have been looking forward to try this little spot. We were impressed by how clean it was. We were deeply disappointed. I am writing this review hoping the owner sees it as it’s meant to be constructive criticism and everyone wants a small business to do well. All of the food was bland and too spiced. We ordered the breaded chicken thinking it would come with a salad and avocado as shown in the pictures. It was just the chicken. The rice was too much and again, it tasted like nothing. Idk if they forgot to use salt, but the mole enchiladas were also land, my husband tinga and steak tacos and steak burrito tarases like nothing. We didn’t finish. None of us. And it was a waste of money. Considered calling to get a refund but again, we don’t want to be rude.we also ordered a Jamaica and horchata. Both were so watered down they didn’t taste like the actual beverage. The Jamaica was so watered down it was clear. Very very...
