I had never tried a candy apple before but my first experience with Mrs. Prindables has set the bar very high! It cuts fairly easily, making it simple to get little slices to share; plus, you don’t have to eat it all at once. It preserves very nicely in the fridge afterward (up to two weeks, so I’m told, though I doubt there will be any of mine left after 14 days; it’s too good!). I got the triple chocolate one and it’s so cute and festive. It has mini chocolate and white chocolate chips on it, plus tiny red stockings and green Christmas trees. A layer of caramel holds it all together over a Granny Smith apple base. Very disappointed in your beautiful, delicious apples this year. I received 10 apples on Dec 15 (was to arrive on Dec 13). I gave 9 of them as gifts on Christmas Eve. My hubby and I shared the 10th one last night. It was the one with all the red, green and white on it. Who ever chose to put those tiny red balls on the apple obviously didn't eat one. They are hard as little rocks so we were concerned about breaking a tooth. Also, the red dye on them gets all over your fingers, lips and tongue and doesn't wash off. I still had red on my fingers this morning!! I gave these as gifts !!!! So glad we didn't give any to a toddler. YUMMY would be an understatement of how awesome these apples are! When my office manager gave us these apples for the Christmas holiday, I had never heard of this company before. I was so impressed how pretty it looked, but more important, how delicious it was. I had left it unrefrigerated on my kitchen counter 10 days after I had received it, and when I sliced the Granny Smith apple, it was surprisingly still so white, juicy, and easy to cut without surprisingly making a mess. The sticky caramel was the perfect "glue" for everything, and the apple was sweet with the perfect hint of tartiness. I don't think a Red Delicious apple would have had the same effect.
