We bought a powder coat machine. Once it came it didn’t work. I mean at all. I called tech support walked me through the process. I had everything hooked up correct After being in the phone for a while they decided that the pump must be bad. Then sent me a new pump. 2 days later we received it and tried the new pump. Needless to say the machine was still not working. I called back and they have no idea what’s wrong. They told me to send back the whole machine. So that’s what I did. After my machine being gone for a week I finally called to see where it was. They said it would be sent out tomorrow. Could of called. Guess that’s to hard. Finally received the machine. After I opened the box parts was missing. The powder cord and powder hose. So I was still not able to use the $1800 machine. I called and said they would send me one. 2 more days later I received the missing parts. I hooked everything up and it still doesn’t work. I called back and very upset. They said they looked everything over and it worked there. They sent me a video of them using my machine but in the video was not the tip I sent to them. I feel like they didn’t do anything. I call back and ask for a refund and then won’t give it to me. So I packed everything up and drove 6 hours to get there. They hook everything up and see that it doesn’t work. The working it for a little bit and finally get it to work a little bit. But they informed me that this is the way it’s supposed to work. They pack everything up and I get back in my truck and drive back. Once getting back to the shop I go to hook everything up and they didn’t put the main air tube in the box. So once again I can’t use the machine. I called and told them. They said if we low-fat it out of the box it would be laying in the shop. Well not making it up so I need one. So they next day aired me one. Finally all the part are here. I try the machine on a 2 coat process and can’t get the powder to stick. I hope no one buys from they place. I heard they have good powder but that’s it. I hope no one get screwed like I did. I want a full refund. Just want my money back. We shall see if this company stands...
Read moreI decided to take the drive from Florida to Tennessee to take the 4 day powder training class. I went in not knowing anything about powder coating other than the YouTube videos I’ve seen, but never having physical experience. The class was thorough and hands on. Day 1 was power points on what powder coating is and the equipment used as well as safeties. I was shown how to properly prep (clean, strip and sand blast) my parts, set up and use the powder coating gun system and its settings, as well as being shown different spraying methods like hot/cold flocking, dual colors, how to combat faraday areas, placing and removing vinyls and also curing the parts in the oven. I was able to bring in some small items to practice on, which I also thought was pretty cool.
From the moment I walked in, Rich made me feel comfortable and very welcomed. He answered any question I threw at him and showed me the reasoning behind any flaws that may occur. I told him that I wanted to eventually open a small business doing powder coating and he embraced my idea and gave me tons of great information.
Overall, I highly recommend taking this course with Rich. He is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Made me feel like he knew me for years. But at the end of the course you will leave feeling confident and like a pro. And hopefully one day start your own powder coating business or simply take on a cool hobby...
Read moreI am 46 yrs old and was very scared to spend the money and take a class on something that i have only watched someone else do. I haven’t set inside a classroom for many years. So i finally talked myself into it (with the help of my wife) and signed up. I walked in on the first day and was greeted by Richard the instructor. He immediately stopped what he was doing and stood up to shake my hand. He instantly made me feel like I was meant to be there. We got to talk a few minutes waiting on the other students. We started class and he went nice and slow to make sure we understood what he was saying. He did not move on to the next section until we all understood. After the first day, I had a 2 1/2 hour ride home and felt like I just received so much information from the way he taught the class. The knowledge he has on powder coating and teaching was very impressive. So, on the 2nd day we got to spray parts. I’m extremely nervous. He goes over everything step by step and I’m off spraying feeling like I have done this before. By the end of the 2nd day I’m just amazed how Richard instructed the class and the knowledge I now have to succeed in powder coating. I will be back for the 2 day advance class. Thank you Richard for be an amazing instructor. It was nothing like I was imagining and you made it fun and easy to learn. Thanks again for an amazing experience. I give...
