Staff member from this college and two colleagues pulled into the handicap parking space at the Hardee's around the corner from the school on Military Highway in Norfolk Virginia.. After observing she did not have a handicap tag or placard in her windshield I approached her and ask her very politely if she might have forgot to put her tag in the window (I did not realize she was not handicapped) so she wouldn't get a ticket..She said yes she knew it was for handicapped people Then she proceeded to cuss me out with language I cannot repeat told me I should mind my own business THREATENED I could be KNOCKED OUT if I didn't Hardee's employees other customers appear to be quite shocked as was I.. I and other handicapped people need the spaces and for someone who works and I assume teaches in the healthcare profession to act this way should be UNACCEPTABLE to this company ...I pray that people around her will help too teach her empathy and compassion... I believe people in her profession need this to provide the proper care 4 people such as myself I don't believe she understands the damage from such Behavior ....???11h later no call back from College administration about this issue after leaving message and talking to the receptionist on the phone. Who said that they would call back 11 and a half hours later no response Evidently they don't care and appear to be only concerned about people who want to enroll in there immoral Institution I would not recommend associating with...
Read moreIt isn't worth the effort! I have to continue paying on a certificate every two years with more tests to take to earn credits to renew my certificate. Eventhough you already have to pay on two separate loans that cost over 13,000, and one of them which is a private loan with the school, you cannot get any help to place on hold if your out of work so that's more money accumulating with interest. I wish someone stopped me before I started going to this school, and just went to a real college.. I'm still not working in this field, because of lack of work experience. They help a little with job placement but they only help placed me in a job that had nothing to do with medical billing and coding, but in fact just a regular customer service job. Just absolutely ridiculous how this school is getting over on people.. It's a struggle for me and my child to make it, and they trying to get all my damn money. I don't want to pay for this bullshit, but it's sad that all my hard work going down the drain because I can't afford to renew, I haven't been studying to gain credits I need, and it's entirely too expensive for...
Read moreDon’t enroll don’t enroll don’t do it . Medical Assistant program. The department is very unprofessional and feels more like a high school environment — not because of the students, but because of the staff. I’ve witnessed staff gossiping about each other and about students in the hallways, even discussing students’ grades where others can hear. Some instructors talk to students disrespectfully and have even cursed at them. One teacher went as far as threatening to punch a student in the face — completely unacceptable behavior for an educational setting. Instructors also share personal business with students and admit that others are teaching incorrect information. I came here to learn and further my career, but the lack of professionalism in this department makes that very difficult. If you’re serious about your education, I would strongly consider other schools before...
