Never before have I felt the need to write a negative review for a business, but I can’t in good conscience ignore what happened today, 6/24/25, at the UPS Turnpike St. North Andover location. The older gentleman who has worked at this location for years is always courteous. However, the other guy who was working this morning at 9:00 a.m. was hostile and abrasive. Upon my arrival I patiently waited for an employee to come from outback (didn't ring a bell, didn't call out for assistance) and said a friendly "good morning" when he finally came to the counter. His response was a grunt and to then just awkwardly stare at me. Trying to keep things pleasant I smiled and said "these two please", a box with a prepaid shipping label for Verizon, and an Amazon return. After scanning the box he moved it and slammed it down behind him with unnecessary force. His aggression felt deliberate and purposefully intimidating. After handing me my receipt I said "thank you" and he scoffed at me. As I was exiting the door he shouted a sexist derogatory insult at me. This goes beyond someone who is simply having a bad day or unhappy with their job. It wasn't just poor customer service and a lack of professionalism, it was harassment and intimidation. Extremely concerning behavior, as this entire interaction was not only unnecessary but unprovoked. I left feeling very unsettled and as a woman I no longer feel comfortable or safe doing business at...
Read moreAs a business owner, I was surprised at what happened here. I paid for the shipment of a box, where a label was never generated. My notes were taped onto the top of the box, and I was told this was how they do it and they generate a label later. I have no tracking on this package, the contents which do not belong to me. When I asked to ship a box international, I was told the person didn't know how and to come back the next morning, which I was unable to do because I work my shop. I shipped using a different carrier. I recognize I was foolish to leave a package with out seeing the transaction through. I would suggest that transactions be completed at time of drop off, and untrained personnel not be left alone in the store unattended. Update: 3/23-I had a very good chat with the owner of the store discussing the above issue. He was very accommodating and it seems I hit a bad day due to a personal emergency. He assured me the clerk was in training for additional skills. A very...
Read moreThis is my second time going to this UPS Store location. My previous experience was good; the person who assisted me was friendly enough and the process was quick. This time around, the associate was a bit standoffish. I greeted him with a smile and a "hello," but he responded with a sigh, which made me feel unwelcome.
Bad day? I get it, but please don't take it out on your customers. If you don't enjoy dealing with Amazon Prime returns, then maybe it's best to find a different job where you won't have to handle returns or interact with people. Be nice and welcoming!
Edit: I just read some of the other comments, and I'm guessing this was the "dark-haired man" that a few reviewers...
