This is how I would describe the owners, John and Amy. I had the extreme pleasure of doing business with them recently. We wanted to liquidate our coin collection, so after getting an appraisal at a business in Atlanta, we visited August Coin Exchange about a week later. Unfortunately, the cost of silver dropped within that short time span, but John was still able to give us a great offer which we gladly accepted. An added bonus -- he offered to drive to meet us at our home as long as we were willing to sell (otherwise, he would have to charge for his travel and time, understandably), but we weren't willing to commit to selling until we heard his offer, so we met him at his location.

Not only is John very knowledgeable in the coin industry, but he is also very wise because he chose one precious wife who is a great asset to their team. Their love and respect for each other, and the kindness shown to all customers who entered their store, were such an inspiration and blessing to us, especially in this day and time in which we live. Great place to trade and learn about the market of precious metals! John and his lovely wife have treated me very well, every time I came to their shop they have been very inviting and friendly, they even offered a cup of coffee, wow you don’t see that kind of customer service these days! I have bought many gold silver platinum coins from them at a great price.I have even started buying my jewelry there too! He has a big selection to choose from, I even found two black gold necklaces there I purchased for my daughters birthdays,very cool looking and hard to find. I visited Augusta Coin Exchange for the first time yesterday and met John and his wife. This was my first ever time entering a coin store of any kind. I was very nervous and more than a bit intimidated. There is just so much to learn about the subject and so many directions collecting can go.

These days it is rare to be greeted in such a friendly manner. I hesitantly explained that I was new to the world of coins and bullion. Hesitant because so many professionals have such a short tolerance with ignorant newbies. I should not have been nervous at all. I was surprised at the amount of time he spent with me and even my kids. My kids now want to start collections of their own.

Everyone that entered the store was helped with the utmost respect. I decided to visit his store based on reviews. I disregarded the negative ones due to their ridiculous nature. John is the genuine article. Not just passionate and knowledgeable about coins but also honest. This will be a go to store for me...
