Two weeks agoI bought a snack from this store but no expiration date. One week after that day, I took it to return( I lost my receipt but I had my credit card record) the manager was not willing to help me return. Instead he said all Asian market like this. 1% of the food can be no expiration date. Excuse me? That was snack called haw pieces which had sealed package. If like rice, fruit or vegetables, I can accept. But this was snack for kids, how can no expiration date? When I said I don’t like the experience and his attitude, the store manager got angry and didn’t give me the receipt and refund receipt. Even I told him I need to hurry home since my son’s school bus would be there. Augusta is a small town, only several Asian markets here. If you want to attract more customers, please respect and help customer, don’t purposely make difficulties for customers.
The manager is a liar. I hope the employee can see the review, she knew the truth. I know some of the cashiers study in LSH. That cashier I met that day was very nice, but the manager…...
Read moreI have been to a lot of Asian markets but this is the best so far. Luck was on my side because; I just happened to stumble across this place by chance. This business is large and spacious, with a large variety of things that you may otherwise have trouble finding anywhere else. Really, if you think that they may not have what you are looking for just ask one of the employees and they will locate it for you.
They even have a fresh meat and fish department; Laid out very neatly and orderly. You will also find a large variety of fresh vegetables like Korean radish, Napa cabbage, Ginger, Garlic, Greens, and more. And if you like spices they got 'em too.
There is such a large Romen noodle selection, as well as many other kinds that you may have never heard of or tried. It is a clean place as far as I can tell and the employees are very polite to EVERYONE! Please keep up the good work. When I am in town; I will definitely drop in and load up to fill...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this store. Cho Ba Mien has a wide variety of Filipino, Vietnamese, and Indian ingredients and ready-to-use packs for individuals who are not so keen on very elaborate recipes. (Pho). I purchased a jackfruit from this store last week to try it out, and it did not disappoint! I am going back today to buy more.
In regards to the negative reviews mentioning expiration dates, and the smell in the store- I have not had any issues with expired food when shopping here. Then again, I also check the dates of anything I purchase. The store does have a meat department which may contribute to the unique smells. The smells are very similar to what I experienced when shopping in the Philippines for groceries. It's not repulsive, but definitely different. I do not believe that there is a housekeeping issue or unsanitary...
