JG Auto Sales LLC — Local services in North Bergen

BEWARE: NO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INSPECTIONS ALLOWED. We attempted to purchase a vehicle from salesman Ray. Regrettably, Ray, Harold (his manager and reportedly the owner) and his "dealership" refuse all independent 3rd party pre-purchase inspections!! I offered to pay for the inspection at the local dealership, and any other cost (time) associated with completing a pre-purchase inspection prior to driving to the "dealership" to purchase the car. Instead, Ray and Harold offered that I could inspect the car in their lot and even bring my own mechanic. They "weren't sure" there would be a lift to inspect the vehicle, or if any mechanic (none that they know) were even available to go to their lot to inspect a car. I asked Harold for any explanation of this policy--going against industry standards--and was told: "8 years ago, the last time, someone may have broken something on a vehicle."

Could be innocent--could be a shady "dealership" hiding issues on a 5yo/50k vehicle with 2 reported accidents. You decide. I know I'm not a mechanic, which is why I pay mechanics to tell me what is wrong with a well-used vehicle...

Staff at JG Auto Sales is very reputable and professional. I purchased a 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback about two weeks ago and the evap canister and ac condenser needed to be replaced.
