Pancitos, the Cuban food truck was a beautiful surprise. It was near the Veteran's Memorial, which looks very new, although I think it has been there for around four years or so.
UPDATE: THURSDAY, APRIL 13, 2023, 4:57PM: It was my first time back at this lovely park in a very long time. I saw ducks and geese, and for the first time, turtles! This park remains very clean, and such an abundance of benches for sitting.
UPDATE: SUNDAY, JULY 31, 2022: Today was my first time back in this park since mid-to-late 2020. I love this park very much. I love the variety of trees, the walking trails, the abundance of available benches (especially for those of who continue to socially distance as much as possible, the Nature's Park Cafe and, of course, the lake. Read moreThis is a great park that is huge and offers a little bit of everything. There are fields for practically every sport, baseball, football, soccer, basketball courts, handball courts, volleyball courts, etc. Some fields are in pristine condition, others are well-maintained.
The playground area is huge and offers a lot of entertainment for kids of all ages. There is also a water feature area and the entire playground section is fenced in with benches around the outside as well as in the middle which is wonderful.
Bathrooms are located next to the major areas, playgrounds, baseball fields, etc.
There is a big pond that you can walk around. No bikes or scooters on that path, which is a bit disappointing, but makes for a nice walk. The pond has lots of fish, turtles and geese. There is also a food/ice cream cafe building located adjacent to the pond.
Tons of activities to do here. Bring your sports equipment or a bicycle and spend tons of time. There are also people who opt to barbecue in the grass area. Definitely somewhere that you can spend several hours...
