Gem Miners Jubilee — Local services in North Cornwall Township

GREAT selection of rocks and amazing displays. Unfortunately, not a very safe place for people of color. I took my boyfriend with me and we were followed by numerous white men for absolutely no reason, who would watch his hands as he looked over different tables. Vendors were rude to me if I came up to them while with him, compared to when I wasn’t, they were very nice. They gave us very judgmental looks and gazed upon us with seemingly hatred. We came looking for an amazing experience, but left with a sour taste in our mouths (and some great crystals, genuinely.) There were quite a few ethiopian vendors which we were happy to see! Gem Miners show is the best show! Lots of vendors with a huge variety of rocks, minerals, jewelry, beads and much more. I could easily spend three days there looking around. Food truck had a variety of food to choose from. Event is very well organized, facility is real clean, vendors were all friendly and one even carried my large purchase out to my car. I went on Saturday. There was a lot of really cool stuff, but I think there was more jewelry than actual crystals and rocks. The AC stopped working in one building and it was SUPER hot. The only food vendors were parked in direct sunlight with no shade anywhere and the lines were huge so it was a bit unpleasant for how hot it was that day.
