The food was good. My husband had the fried rice with beef, and I had the white rice with shrimp. His food was flavorful but was a bit dry. His food also came out before mine instead of together. I found that a bit strange. My shrimp had an unusual flavor and was a bit cold compared to the white rice that was hot, and my meal wasn't as flavorful. My husband could not order the chicken wing appetizer because he has a shellfish allergy, and all apps are fried in the same oil. That was a bit disappointing. I would recommend having a separate vat of frying oil to use for guests with food allergies. For drinks, we ordered the dragon fruit and matcha options. Both were delicious. The cutest thing was how they sealed the cups. Instead of normal cup lids, they use a sealing machine to add a lid with cute little pictures. I thought that was memorable. The service was great. Staff was very attentive. The restaurant itself was a bit small in size. There is not much room in the dining area. The lighting was also on the bright side. Almost felt like I was in a doctor's office. Would recommend dimming the lights a bit more so it feels much more relaxing to dine here. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd go back to try another meal...
Read moreAttempted to eat here tonight. The child working the register/ taking orders completely ignored us for 20 minutes, despite our attempts (and other customers attempts) to get his attention. He was WAY more focused on his phone than customers. Food service was EXTREMELY SLOW, to the point we were talking with other tables (all of whom we never met before) about the excessive wait time. It was not very busy, but people who came in before us still didn't have their food after at least half an hour. We got tired of the unacceptably rude treatment (30 minutes in) and would have liked to eat at some point within an hour, so we ended up going to "Mick's bar and grill" down the street but in the same shopping center...... the servers at Mick's were prompt and kind, and we got our food right away. Mick's 100% has our business still, despite actually WANTING to eat pho. It's a shame, really. I wish we had a better experience at PhoVina, but I doubt I'll go back. Recommend going literally anywhere else, unless you really enjoy...
Read moreIt's tough to only give this place three stars because the service is great. But there needs to be some explanation about the food. The pho is good. Drinks are amazing. The bahn mi outstanding! I should have went with my first instinct and ordered the freshly made Vietnamese sandwich. But, what I did order was the"curry," which is actually disgusting, indistinguishable chicken parts that consist of 15% meat and 85% bone/fat/gristle/skin in a a watery mix of what I can discern is only chicken stock, coconut milk, and some powder spices. The curry was an absolute let down that literally made me angry rather than satisfied. So, be warned, stay away from the curry and order something else. Oh, and they need to invest in some proper carryout containers that will allow to-go orders to actually eat the meal without a 10-step...
