Ancestor Coffeehouse & Crêperie — Restaurant in North Cornwall Township

I wanted to give Ancestors another try because last time I ate here, I got really sick immediately following the meal. I never left a review after that but, today I went with my family for breakfast. We went because their website had August cold brew specials (today is Aug 3rd). We ordered and were told they didn't have the specials and that they always advertise even though the specials are never available when they say (their words, not mine). We should have walked out then but didn't. Ordering was a challenge because the young man at the register was SO hard to hear, we had him repeat himself several times. It was a real struggle to find breakfast sandwiches without meat. They should really offer vegetarian and vegan ootions. I finally chose something and I completely missed that it had bacon AND sausage (my mistake) so I asked for no bacon. I got my order realizing my mistake and was just going to take off the sausage but, the sandwich advertised also hash browns and garlic aoli. First, the "hash browns" was a few flakes of hash browns and barely cooked. Good hash browns should be golden and crisp, these were nearly raw, the aoli was slathered on; if you know aoli, it's a really rich flavor so, it should go on veroptions. I did ask for a remake of the sandwich and the staff was very accommodating however, for 2 adults and 1 child, our breakfast with drinks came to over $50. Just a cold brew w almond milk is $8. When they first opened I really enjoyed my experiences, but the the last several times I've been disappointed in the food and drinks. At my most recent experience it was so loud (music) and the gentlemen at the register was so quiet that I had to continue to ask him to repeat himself an obnoxiousamount of times. The drinks advertised for their August drink specials on their Facebook page turned out to not actually be available and according to the staff this happens every month. Apparently the specials are always posted without being available for a few more days, but according to the social media page its available. It was very disappointing as that was the main reason we decided to go. The breakfast sandwiches were disappointing. They describe the sandwich with avocado yet it's not fresh avocado, it was prepackaged mashed up avocado. The smoothie separated quickly and wasn't appetizing. The cold brews that we did order were so sweet that they weren't enjoyable. Ultimately, for the quality of what we were given the last few times, it simply feels over priced and not worth it. Bigger update...this family owned business ROCKS. I love the atmosphere, the owners are wonderful, and always kind to us and everyone! The staff is amazing as well. We love the coffee, the teas and the latte's. Everything here is so good and just wonderful! I am truly in love with the new baked marshmallow treats, they are to die for!

Update....still best crepes and place ever BUT now even better we just left with being the first customers to try the new pumpkin cheesecake crepes for the new season omg my favorite yet if that is even possible, keep doing what you do you guys are the best! Oh btw it is never too early for pumpkin season yay! Thank you so very much!

I have been here quite a few times and I just cant say enough good about this place I cant believe anyone would ever have a bad thing to say about this amazing awesome place food is so great I have never had anything bad not even close crepes are best ever...
