I've been staying at this Fairfield Inn for the past couple of years when I travel as it is in a quieter area. More importantly was the cleanliness and special touches such as lemon water at the reception desk. When I arrived mid January, things had changed. They couldn't locate my reservation even though I showed them the print out of the confirmation of a room with king size bed. After 15 minutes of trying to get me checked into my room, the gentleman handed me my card key. I lugged my belongings on the cart and took the elevator to my room, only to discover when I opened the door, it was a room with two queen size beds. I went back to the lobby to show the man the print out once again which showed I booked a room with a king size bed. He asked if I had touched anything in that room which I replied no. He then gave me another key card to another room.(with a king bed). It may not seem like a huge problem but after driving 7 hours, I wanted to finally relax. I noticed the room wasn't as clean as previous times I stayed there. Empty box of tissues in the bathroom and no lemon water in the lobby. A slight discrepancy with the bill was enough to have me not return for...

The staff are great- both professional and personable. At check-in, we were offered a pack-n-play and rubber ducky for our 2 year old, and throughout our 3-night stay we were greeted with smiles and kind words every time we entered or exited the hotel.
The breakfast offering is nice variety- bagels/breads, waffle maker, scrambled/hard-boiled eggs/omelets, breakfast sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruits, juices, milk and hot beverages. The woman attending to the dining area was friendly and prompt to refresh the buffet and clean/sanitize used tables and surfaces.
The location is perfect- it's relatively quiet being on the outskirts of town and has easy access to the highway. There's a small restaurant/pub directly next door that offers great service, food and drinks at a reasonable price. There is also a Sheetz nearby.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Fairfield Inn claims to be "pet friendly," but during my recent stay, I found this was not the case. First, the hotel charged me an additional $150 for bringing my pets on the property. This is almost the entire cost of the room! It doubled the cost of the room. I've stayed at other Fairfield Inns, and I am typically charged $25-50 for a pet fee. I expected their pet fee would be similar. I learned the hard way that you gotta read the fine print on these hotel policies.
Secondly, there was hardly any green space around the property. The tiny patch of grass they had for animals was right beside a busy road. There was no comfortable space for dogs to relieve themselves. Def not a "pet friendly" hotel.
After calling the property and the third-party I used to book this stay, neither firm was able to offer any help with the exorbitant pet fee. Basically, they just said it was my fault for not reading the hotel policies closely enough. I am very disappointed with Fairfield Inn's extortionate pet fee, which was not...
