I ordered dinner online tonight hoping to "social distance ." It was a complete failure. My order was to be ready at 6:20 pm. I arrived early and tried to stay away from the the fairly full restaurant. There was a pretty long line. I waited 20 minutes dodging other customers who were going to get drinks, using the bathroom, getting their orders and waiting around. Finally I got tired of waiting and walked over to wait on line to ask where my order was. She said my name out loud and added that I was their to pick up my order. Why should any of this happen when I ordered online so I could avoid this. I again waited and was happy to hear my name called...YAY! I walk up only to find the 2 shakes I ordered were missing 😐. I walked away from the counter and waited for my shakes to be made, they called another customer to pick up her food. She began a conversation with the employee while my bag of food stood open between them. She was asking for peanuts. I watched as she put the bag of peanuts into my bag of food and took her bag...and my bag away with her. I called after her "that's my food!" The employee making my shake glanced up and said to the woman "that's not yours. She returned my bag to the counter and says "my peanuts are in there. I'm looking at her in disbelief as she stands over my bag. I wasn't getting any closer to her and the employee didn't stop making the shakes to help. I stood more then 6 feet away from this mess and shrugged my shoulders...I was fully done. This woman walks away without her peanuts and I'm called over to get my bag of food, that's been touched by 4 people including me, and my shakes which turn out to be milk with wayyy to much chocolate syrup. Cold hamburgers, watery shakes and mushy fries aren't what I expect from Five Guys. I also expect my food to be ready around within 5 or 10 minutes of the time given. I'd like to add that during a pandemic maybe your employees could wear their masks over their mouth AND nose. It's not easy, I understand but we all...
Read moreThe burgers are excellent! I'm a big fan of the double patty. They are always hot and juicy too!
Service is fine. You order at one counter and pick up at another when they call your number. It fast and easy, and it fits the atmosphere.
The atmosphere is fun and simple. The thing that makes it for me is the peanuts. Grab a paper boat full and eat them while you wait. Go back and get more if you want!
I ordered a "regular" sized French fry. I forgot the regular is still made with 18 potatoes (exaggeration but it's enormous). That's not all bad because they're excellent French fries. It's just that my cardiologist wouldn't approve.
Prices are out of control! They are everywhere but be prepared to pay about $10 for a hamburger, at least it has two patty's, and I think it is almost $14 with bacon and cheese. Not uncommon prices for burgers these days but I thought 5 Guys always used to be lower priced than other places.
Anyway, 5 Guys is a great place to get a very good...
