I bought 2 pair of shorts for $10 which makes the shorts $5 dollars each. I went home it was late. I tried to try them on they still had all security tags on them. I drove back across town today. To get the security tags removed. When I arrived Gabrielle started to remove the tags then looked at another employee then they decided I guess that I looked like a thief even though I shop here weekly and spend hundreds of dollars each time. Then they said oh we need a receipt. I said I didn't bring the receipt I didn't know I would need it because of YOUR EMPLOYEE'S incompetence. I don't want to have to drive all the way back across town. They refused and now I've made 3 trips across town for 2 pair of 5 dollar shorts. Have been treated like a rotten thief by yiur employees all while suffering through the fact that the STORE HAD NO AIR CONDITIONER in SWFL! ABSOLUTELY IS RIDICULOUS!! I get policies. But I also have a huge background in customer service. 40 years worth as a matter of fact. I wont be shopping at this store anymore EVER. And I suggest you don't either until the "New Biglots"gets their act together and a.) Gets the air conditioner fixed for their employees so that they can focus on doing their jobs correctly and not inconveniencing the customer with 3 trips across town for $5 shorts! B.) Makes policies that do not inconvenience the customer if YOU HAVE MADE THE MISTAKE! If I could have given you zero starts today...
Read moreThe customer service in big lots in the Morse Shores plaza is about at a medium. When you ask for assistance someone will help you grudgingly at times. It is my experience that they do not offer assistance and it is very abrupt assistance when asked. To me customer service is seeking to meet the satisfaction of the customer. To meet the need you have to ask what the need is. I donât mean profile I mean find out what the customers is there to get then assist them in getting it or an even better upgrade if an upgrade of the product if available. The building itself is substandard however is kept seemingly clean with the aisles free of clutter. Wheelchairs and scooters can easily roam through the wide aisles and enjoy perusing a wide variety. At times there are wonderful offerings of gourmet food stuff.
The portion of the store that is set aside for furniture is set up nicely and has staff...
Read moreI have never been to a Big Lots that I didn't like. If you are educated on food brands and labels, you can get some great deals on organic or european products. Additionally, their holiday sections are amazing! Their Christmas decor is Affordable and most of the times Cutting Edge. (They had pink ornaments before anybody else did) I just bought some Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween decorations that if I purchased them anywhere else would have been twice the price. What saddens me most is that I heard they were going to be closing a lot of the Big Lots locations. I encourage more people to shop there. There's something for everybody. There's even a toy aisle that can entertain the kids while you're shopping for great bargains! This is one of these stores that if you...
