This place was called Lil Johnny Appleseed and I took my iPhone to them to have the battery replaced. Nothing was wrong with the phone except I needed longer battery life. I asked if I was getting an Apple original battery to which I was told āyes the same as Appleā. While the gentleman worked on the phone he did not use the static discharge band which when I got my phone back the charging port did not work. It would work with older (about broke in two) cables and will not work in new Apple cables. I took the phone back to them and all he did was reseat the battery. Within the month they switched company names but with the same lousy ownership. Disgusted my phone was returned to me in worse shape than I gave it to him, I went to the Apple store to have them look at it. The Apple store on the Country Club Plaza told me that they wonāt work on my phone cause it happens to have an aftermarket battery in it. So now I find out I was lied to by John the owner of Lil Johnny Appleseed and now Other World Technology. I returned to Other World technology and told him I am not happy I was lied to and I want my original battery put back into my phone. Of course he no longer had my old battery so he installed another battery that would not sync with Appleās computer system. I told him that is not acceptable and I wanted another Apple original battery that works properly. He REFUSED to put in a OEM battery that would work with Appleās computer software to ensure I would not have any troubles in the future. Within 40 days his battery he installed swelled up and popped the screen off my phone. I took it back again to show him the issues that still have yet to be fixed now caused damage to my phone. At this time he tells me there is nothing he can do cause he is now bound by contract with Apple and canāt fix the phone he destroyed. I went to the Apple store yet again to try a new charger cord to only find out I still canāt use a new Apple original cord. So Apple tells me they will fix my phone issues with a replacement phone but they canāt cause John at Other World Technology lied to me and put an aftermarket battery in it. I told Apple he is a authorized Apple repair facility and the two companies should work together for the customer. I mean they sure talk like they are on the same page but customer service is non existent with John and Other World Technology. I go back into Other World Technology today and thought I will give him one last chance to make it right before I post a negative review. I was met with yet another lie where he said he refunded me ācashā. This man lies so much he canāt keep his lies straight. I paid this scam artist with a credit card and no refund was given in cash or credit. So now I am out an iPhone that works properly. Countless hours and gas driving between the Apple store and Johnās joke of a business to just get a phone to work that HE DESTROYED! The funny thing is he now wants to charge me OVER $110 for a battery. Even the Apple store itself will do batteries on this phone for $49. Avoid this sorry excuse of a human and his lies at all costs. He just tears up peoples property and then lies about it. He is going to say it's been a year since he put his fake battery in and destroyed it! All I can say is yes no customer should have to put up with you destroying their property for over a year giving you MULTIPLE chances to fix your mistakes! It's not like it has not been returned to you MULTIPLE TIMES since you destroyed my phone. YOU SHOULD HAVE FIXED IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Scam artists like this need to be shut down. On Facebook he even admits to blocking people who expose his shady business. I will post this every place I can! John, I gave you multiple chances to make your wrongs, right. Now I will expose you and your corrupt business practices. How about you learn how to fix peoples devices instead of destroying people's property. If there was a way to give you negative stars I would give as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSummary: John at Other World Technology diagnosed my iMac and ordered memory. We paid our invoice in full (including diagnostic fee). John suggested a solution that created the same issue. Then he lied about it and charged us the diagnostic fee a second time. More Details Below
Brought my iMac in for an issue with random rebooting. At first, Other World Technology was great. The owner, John, diagnosed the issue as a problem with my current memory. He offered to order the correct memory and install it for me. I mentioned that I had the factory memory at home and John offered to install it for me alongside the new memory. At the time of pickup, John had some problems starting up my iMac. This should have been a red flag, but I trusted that he knew what he was doing. When I got home, my Mac worked for about half an hour before it started having the same issue. I called Other World Technology and spoke with Trent about the issue. Trent told me that I should bring my iMac back in since the issue was not resolved. We dropped off my iMac a few days later.
Because I am very very pregnant, John called my husband to let him know it was ready to pickup. When we picked my iMac back up, we were between doctor appointments and had our toddler with us, so I waited in the car. Despite this being the same issue that we had already paid for, John charged us the $40 diagnostic fee a second time. When asked why he suggested we install the factory memory alongside the new memory, John lied. John told my husband that he advised me against installing both sets of memory. (It's worth noting that John also did not remember the work order for iMac that he completed 1-2 weeks earlier.)
Not only did he NEVER advise against installing both sets of memory, but it was his suggestion! I even questioned him about it at the time and brought it up with my husband later that evening. My husband and I had both been under the impression that it wasn't possible. But John reassured me that it would be fine. At this point, with a very pregnant wife and a fussy toddler in the car, my husband had his back to the wall. Other World Technology was holding a $1500 iMac ransom for another $40. We won't be back to Other World...

Approx. 12th and Clay on east side of street, industrial area, brick building with an awning entrance and a narrow parking lot across from a small Budweiser distribution facility.
My son's Mac screen broke and we were able to look up this location through the Apple warranty site. We set an appointment through the website, and it did seem like that was the appropriate protocol as opposed to just showing up. Super clean place with great spacing of tables and bright colors, a sweet Keurig setup, and a long bar with usb ports and stools. We were met by Tyson, explaining that we had an appointment. He looked at our screen, spent a few minutes troubleshooting, gave us the rundown, got our information and was very thorough and friendly. The whole process was quick and easy. The part did need to be ordered but we were given the choice of leaving the computer at the store or taking it back with us. We decided to leave the laptop and expect to be notified when the part is in. They did have a walk-in while we were there, and they did have to wait, but only for about 10 minutes while we finished up our transactions.
The best part? MIJA š„°š We spotted the dog in the back room. Immediately insisted that the dog must be introduced. We love the dog. Mija...
