I love ALDI. it’s usually my go to spot. Sadly I might have to part ways with them because this morning, I went to buy some heavy cream. As usual everything was very clean and fresh. I noticed that the only employees on duty was the 2 cashiers. I couldn’t locate the heavy cream so I ask Jelene Hanson the cashier. she told me where I could find it even thought I’d already looked in that area. still couldn’t find the heavy cream so I walked into ALDI unloading room in hopes of finding a employee that wasn’t as busy as the cashier to help me. From the front of the store Jelene Hanson screamed at me saying I can not go back there. I told her I can’t find the heavy cream and that I’m trying to find an employee to help me. She continued to yell to me saying she told me where it was and if I couldn’t find it I’d have to wait til she THE CASHIER isn’t busy. I finally found the heavy cream without her help. When I went to cashier to pay, I told her maybe they should hire more employees, she shot back with so much attitude “we have enough employees and if it’s a problem go to Publix” she gave me her name after I asked for it and told me it would be on the receipt as well like she just knew there would be NO consequences. The entire time the other cashier was laughing at the entire situation. Which was really embarrassing. So to Publix I will take my money....
Read moreMy Aldi experience this evening was a good one. The cashier I had was in training so he had to keep stopping and asking his manager questions but that's how we learn. They need to open up more lines before the line was all the way down the road to the back. It didn't make sense to have people available and they not open in additional register. One register during the evening shopping rush hour is insane. But eventually someone did open up on register 3 and that helped the line out considerably. The store was short on some items such as coconut creamer tilapia catfish and things like that but they were well-stocked in fruit and vegetables breads desserts in the usual self item. It was a good shopping experience except for the checkout process which it happens when people are being trained so that's not a big deal but I will definitely return to this Aldi. The manager was very helpful and the cashier was very apologetic that he had to keep stopping. So that's excellent customer service when you acknowledge...
Read moreI was excited when this store first opened, having an Aldi so close to home was way more convenient than going down to Sample for lower prices. Unfortunately after a few months the management became really lax, and ever since Covid-19 hit the world, they've done a very poor job at maintaining proper social distancing.
However the final nail in the coffin, in my opinion, was when I went to purchase two cartons of eggs and a soda a few days ago. Three lines were open and packed with people, and suddenly they closed two of the lines and forced everyone into the middle lane, creating a longer line that took up half the length of the store! I was at the conveyor belt with my three products, but they refused to take my purchase and directed me to the back of the line.
I'm massively disappointed in how far downhill this store went, when there was so much promise for better shopping...
