Placed online order 9-22-2022. Automatically cancelled by the store in less than 45 minutes. Weird.
Placed duplicate online order 9-23-2022.
Online system says "Scheduling system not working at this time. Place order and someone will reach out to you to schedule delivery."
Nobody calls for several days.
I call to schedule delivery myself a few days later.
Delivery finally arrives 10 days later on 10-3-2022.
36 items are missing and plywood is in unacceptable condition and need replacing.
I call to schedule second delivery for missing and damaged items.
Second delivery never arrives on the specified date. No call. I call the store and am told it's been moved up a day.
Second delivery arrives on 10-8-2022. Large number of items missing. Again. Replacement plywood is covered in mold on both sides.
I call to request a refund for missing and damaged items as well as the delivery fee. Request granted, but I am told I need to go into the store to collect my refund in cash.
I go to the store on 10-9-2022. "Nobody is here to authorize the cash refund. Please come back tomorrow."
I go to the store again on 10-10-2022. "The person you need to speak with won't be here for another 3.5 hours"
I leave. I call the store later that day and get disconnected 4 times. I dial the manager's extension. "The managers are all at lunch. Call back in about 30 minutes."
I call back about 45 minutes later and my calls are no longer being answered.
I call 1-800 customer service line. "Wait a few days for the refund to go back to your credit card."
Strange, I was told to collect it in cash from the store. I will wait and see.
I visit the store again on 10-12-2022. I spend 2 hours trying to solve my issue.
"We put in the request for your refund. We'll reach out to you on 10-14-2022 (2 days)"
The day comes. No call. Nothing. Check bank statement. No refund.
I call on 10-15-2022. I'm told that my refund was processed on 10-10-2022, but when I went in on 10-12-2022 it still wasn't processed. More confusion.
I'm told to wait until Monday (10-17-2022). Monday comes and I'm told to wait until Wednesday (10-19-2022).
Wednesday comes and there's no refund reflected on my account.
I call the 1-800 number. I'm told this needs to be handled by the store. I'm transferred to the store.
I'm put on hold and passed around by 2 associates before speaking to the first knowledgeable person I've come across.
I'm told that the refund was never processed, only STAGED for a refund. I have to come into the store a swipe my card to get my refund.
10-22-2022 I went in to the store to swipe my card. The refund comes out to less than I was told, but I no longer have the patience to argue.
My refund finally hit my account, exactly 1 month after placing my order.
Thanks for nothing Home Depot. Your system is archaic and nobody knows what's going on, You take my money in a split second, but make me jump through countless hoops for almost a month to get it back. For large purchases, Home Depot is no longer an option for me. I will never use your delivery services again and I will take my business purchases elsewhere. One star is too...
Read moreConvenient location within 5 mins, terrible customer service interactions (had multiple issues with specific services from this store- had to argue with management to get the wheels moving). Not all employees here are terrible but most are and shouldn’t be qualified to work there. Only come to this location if the product is on the shelf, in-stock and requires no human Home Depot employee interaction. If you need human interaction with a Home Depot employee, go to the Coral Springs location. Folks there are much nicer and want to help you out. Another issue at this location is for some reason Home Depot and North Lauderdale Police Department welcome, in open arms, groups of random guys with backpacks that hang out and loiter all day and sleep in the parking lot. Makes it look like an unpleasant 3rd world dump or ghetto. With this I don’t feel safe going there. Although this is my nearest location to Home Depot, I usually drive further to the Coral Springs or Coconut Creek locations as Coral Springs and Coconut Creek don’t play the loitering game and they value people’s safety unlike North Lauderdale. If you go this location keep your eyes peeled and head on a swivel. Not sure what those guys are up to. Very intimidating seeing a group a guys blocking the entrance to this Home Depot all day long. The North Lauderdale Mayor should be fired. They need more north lauderdale pd presence out there and start citing those guys to clean...
