Worst goodwill store I’ve ever been to! A regional manager or someone needs to come to the store and whip it into shape. Even my daughter was so frustrated she just wanted to leave. I love goodwill stores but this one was horrible. Everything was organized by color not by size. Every other Goodwill I’ve ever been to has everything organized by size so I can walk over to the racks labeled medium and search through every single thing they have in medium and find what I like. So I had to search through every blue shirt in order to find one my size that I may or may not like. And there were no Womans as shorts on any rack. After going down every isle I asked an employee if there were shorts. She said they were in one of the table bins with other clothes. We could barely dig through the huge pile of random clothing without toppling things off onto the floor, and I never found 1 pair of shorts my size. They may or may not have been any in there, but I couldn’t shift enough clothes to ever find them. Please please please have someone come in and...
Read moreThis has always been one of my favorite Goodwills to visit, but recently the experience has gone downhill. Prices have skyrocketed—furniture is way overpriced and housewares are nearly unreasonable compared to what they used to be.
Another issue is how resellers seem to dominate the store. Many linger near the back room and swoop in on items straight from the employees’ buggies before they even hit the shelves. I always thought this wasn’t allowed, but it seems to depend on “who you know.” It’s disheartening to watch the same people grab the best items while regular shoppers don’t even get a fair chance.
It also feels like certain employees are pulling “the good stuff” aside for resellers instead of giving everyone equal opportunity. Between the pricing and this reseller favoritism, the fun of browsing and finding treasures here is being lost. I really hope management reconsiders their pricing strategies and enforces fair shopping rules so this location can go back to being one...
Read moreCalled the store to make sure they were excepting furniture and the lady that answered the phone said they were. She said they would unload it and told us were to pull up to when we arrived, she was very pleasant to deal with. So my husband and I loaded a Lazy Boy love seat into our suv in the rain and my husband took it to the Goodwill. When he arrived he unloaded the 2 back pieces and set them beside the receiving door then waited for someone to come out and unload the couch. A man came out walked around the back of his suv and said we can’t take this. My husband said what do you mean you can’t take it? He said it’s not likely to sell! Then turned around and walked back inside. I don’t know if he didn’t know that Lazy Boy furniture comes apart or what his problem was. It is a nice reclining love seat, I have never known Goodwill to turn away good donations and have donated thousands of dollars of stuff over the years but I will not be making anymore donations to...
