Little River Deli — Restaurant in South Carolina

Used to order EVERY day from here, it's a shame because the food was good. One day i ordered my usual, grilled chicken, & when I started eating it, I bit something that didn't feel right, so I spit everything out to discover that there was a piece of stringy metal (brillo-like) in my food. I searched through the rest of my food and there was TONS of it! I was in shock. I guessed it was from a grill brush that they used to clean the grill that they haven't replaced in a while. I called to tell them what happened, and was very polite about it. Usually a person would be furious but I had worked with food before, so I understood it wasn't the fault of the girl on the phone. HOWEVER, the girl that I spoked to showed NO concern, she didn't even apologize. She sounded annoyed and just asked if I wanted my sandwich remade. Clearly she didn't care and thought I was lying. I just said to her, "please make sure that one of your grill brushes isn't coming apart, I would hate for this to happen to someone else". She muttered something and hung up the phone. I regret being so passive during that conversation. That incident could have injured/killed me or another unsuspecting customer. METAL DOES NOT BELONG IN FOOD. Needless to say, I don't order from there anymore. Especially after my husband went in one day to get a sandwich for himself and told the girl at the counter what happened. He said she just looked at him like she thought he was lying. Who lies about that stuff?? We ordered EVERY day why would we bother? I would have brought the sandwich back to show them but I was on the way to a doctor...

If you think it’s just a random deli on the side of the road you’re dead wrong. This place has Incredible food and matching service! We went with a group of 12 including four kids under 5 years old on a busy Saturday for lunch, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and efficient, accommodating everyone’s custom orders. The menu offered a wide variety of options, from classic deli sandwiches to creative specials.

Despite the crowd, our orders came out quickly, and the attention to detail in both the food and service was exceptional. Everyone in our group raved about their meals, and not one order was missed or incorrect – which is impressive considering the size of our party! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a casual but delicious lunch. The owner, Amanda is so sweet our kids loved her and the staff- they even gave us markers and paper to draw to keep the kids busy.

Good looks, findin’ this slice of NY in Little River! Yous, Yous, and Yoos, the Botha Ya. You better show up on time—doors close at 3 and that grill gets iced. But hey, even if you slide in sideways at 2:59, you’re still eatin’ good. These sandwiches? Fuggeddaboudit. Real deal. While you’re waitin’ on that masterpiece, do yourself a favor and snag somethin’ from the cooler behind you. Dinner’s handled. No questions asked. Lasagna, Chicken Fricassee, and dont tell Ma, but they got her meatloaf on ice back there too.  Heat it up and the whole gand will be smilin' like they just beat a RICO case. Breakfast? Fast. Like "get in, get out, no witnesses" fast. Schlep yourself over to this NY Deli. Every item on that sandwich board is a made guy.
