So I have always loved Platoās closet...more terms in buying awesomely priced clothing, shoes, and whatnot. I have been an avid shopper there and also sold a bunch of my clothes there, which in all honesty they under pay you. Sometimes, a few bucks is better than none. Now I tried to go yesterday to sell 2 big bags of clothes...I called on the way and found out u have to be there an hour b4 close. I am in some serious desperate times at the moment and I hardly have enough money to make it to work. So today knowing I had to be there an hour ahead, after a gruelingly crazy busy day. I headed over which is a 15 min drive. I gave myself a half hour. Of course I hit several lights and even a bridge. I pulled into the lot to find no parking and had to park way on the other side of the shopping center. I walked in at 7:02 and was turned away!!! I spoke to the manager Krizley Cooperstein and she refused to help me. She had 2 registers closed already an hour before close and on a Monday night! Iāve worked in retail and that shouldnāt be done so soon especially when you buy and sell clothes. I begged and begged and she refused to even process one item for me. I was absolutely disgusted and will never use that platos closet again. On top of the fact of me almost being in tears itās like she had this giant sarcastic smile on her face, as if that was real or would make me feel better. In my opinion it was cruel and I will never use that Platoās again Iāll drive a half hour to use Boynton...which also have later hours!!! Itās a Monday night just canāt process what the rush was for her to get out of there where she had one register open and 3 people working behind the desk!!!!! I would like to report it to corporate but itās a FrAnchize so that would do me no good. I spent years working retail and I couldnāt imagine doing that to someone...just wrong, unprofessional and unfair to loyal customers. This experience has changed my entire outlook on all Platoās closets, all because of this one...

I recently visited Plato's Closet, and I must say that it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The staff members were bluntly rude and displayed an alarming level of unprofessionalism.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the staff didn't seem interested in assisting customers or providing a pleasant shopping experience. Their lack of basic courtesy and respect was evident throughout my visit. It felt like they were doing me a favor by letting me shop in their store.
Furthermore, if you're considering selling your clothes to Plato's Closet, I strongly advise against it. They will gladly accept your brand new, expensive items and offer you just a few dollars in return. It's a complete rip-off, and it's clear that their main priority is maximizing their own profits at the expense of their customers.
The owner or manager of this establishment seriously needs to reevaluate their staff and do a thorough house cleaning. The toxic and unprofessional environment they have fostered is damaging their business. Customers should be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of their age or appearance.
As for me, I will never be returning to Plato's Closet. There are plenty of other stores that value their customers and provide a much better shopping experience. I urge others to take their business elsewhere until significant changes are made in the management and behavior of the staff at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like coming here to sell my clothes & shoes. The staff is usually friendly & sometimes I can strike a conversation with them. My only complaints are that I bring a lot of stuff when I come in, all freshly washed & folded neatly in a basket. When the girls are looking thru my items, they toss aside what they don't want to take, & throw everything back in the basket without folding it & returning it to me the way it was given. I have to go thru a pile of balled up, wrinkled clothes. The least they can do is fold the stuff they're not taking, as a courtesy to the seller. Our time, effort & gas that we used to carry 3 baskets of clothes to you in good, freshly laundered & folded condition. I'd expect to get back the same. Sometimes, brand name stuff (even new with tags) gets passed on. I live a half hr away, & I go out of my way to come here with my stuff. I take care of all my clothes & shoes. I never buy anything cheap. I bring in brand name stuff, in mildly used condition & a lot of the time, much stuff is overlooked & tossed to the side. Overall, I enjoy Plato's Closet & I'll continue to bring my stuff in on occasion. I just wish they'd at least fold the clothes to give them back. It takes 3 seconds to fold a shirt & put it neatly back in the bucket, the way they...
