If I could leave zero stars I would. We bought a couch in July and we’re given the impression we were taking it home that day. The sales lady gave us a price and said “as is today” asked about pick up or delivery and we stated we would just come back and pick it up. We were not told that it was being ordered until after they took the payment and told us there were no refunds and that it would be 3-12 weeks. Although irritated, we said okay and signed the for the wait. Not once during our wait were we ever contacted with any updates on the couch. The only updates we got were those we specifically called about. 14 weeks after purchasing, we went into the store and were told that it was on track. Interesting, because on track would have meant at latest it would have arrived 2 weeks ago. We were given a new arrival date and told that it was on the truck. That date was then pushed back 3 more times before we finally canceled the order. During our wait, I contacted the store several times, and twice had asked to speak with a manager. Both times I was told they were busy and would call me back. Neither time did I receive a call back. After canceling our order and asking for a refund we were told since half was paid cash it would have to be a check by mail. They stated that it would go out that day (Monday) and we would have it by the middle of the week. I called 10 days later after never receiving it, and was told “yeah we’re finding that mail is taking longer but it will get there.” After stating that I have been receiving all of our other mail, it was quite interesting that we weren’t receiving this, she said “well we can’t track the mail.” I again asked to speak with a manager. I was told he was busy but they would have him call me right back. I stated that I have already been told that and never receive a call back. She then gave “her word” that they would. It has been 4 days and there is still no check or call back. Tomorrow the check we were supposed to have received in a few days will be on its 14th day...
Read moreCole (Schultz) and Brady delivered my sofa, loveseat, and coffee table today and WOW. I knew I’d love the pieces since I picked them out, but I’d been worried about actually getting them into my apartment…on the second floor…with no elevator… 😬 So not only did these gentlemen have three pieces to deliver, they had to bring them one by one down a narrow hallway, turn a corner, go UP a flight of stairs, turn a narrower corner and into my apartment. Did I mention these pieces are huge? Well, thanks to Cole and Brady, I didn’t need to worry one bit! I honestly am amazed at how easily and quickly they made the whole process go. Oh!! AND they got my current sofa out of the apartment just as easily, so….out the apartment door, around a narrow corner, DOWN a flight of stairs, around that other corner, and down the narrow hallway to their truck. She let me wander around and browse the store but noticed I kept coming back to a particular couch set, she spent time explaining the product details to me and giving me some options for artwork and decorations, pillows, rugs, etc.. When it came time to check out, she was very thorough in explaining how delivery would work as well as the communication Throughout the delivery process and offered me the peace of mind warranty protection, and explained that in great detail as well.
Overall my experience buying a new living room set was very pleasant and Enjoyable. The last couple weeks I have been to three different furniture stores, and found the service at Ashley was superior as well as the quality of furniture and offerings they had in the store.
I will definitely buy furniture from Ashley’s again and I’m glad to have this service and store in North Platte!
