A friend and I went together to order a Talavera Mexican pottery pot to be filled with succulents and delivered to a friend of ours in Englewood, Fl. When placing the order by phone, I was told I could order an "extra large" pot filled with 6-7 plants and priced at $139.95. They sent me a picture of the pot and while it was certainly lovely the picture they sent was deceiving, in that the size in the picture certainly looked much larger than what was delivered. My friend and I were able to see first hand this pot since we were staying with the recipient this past weekend. The actual pot had 5 succulents in it, and was maybe 8 inches high and about 6 or 7 inches across. This is "extra large"? I did call and explain all of this to "Robert" one of the designers and he told me the size of the pot in inches, which was the first time it was described to me in that manner. Clearly this would have been helpful to know at the beginning. The good news is and the true benefit of working with locally owned family businesses, is that I was telephoned later by the owner herself, Donna and she said she wants to know how we could make it right and have me "satisfied" with the purchase. I accepted a partial credit on my CC for the difference in size of the pots. I am happy to say, while there may have been misunderstanding from the original order, that this business stands by their customers and wants/seeks approval from them. I would recommend this florist to others. This is a florist you should patronize, and feel satisfied you are getting excellent customer...
Read moreUPDATE 4/29/25 - Upon receiving PCF's response to my review, I contacted them to arrange delivery of a new arrangement. They were very kind and accommodating to my mother-in-law's schedule. They delivered on the date and during the timeframe as promised. The new arrangement is shown in the third photo attached. While it still does not quite resemble the full, well-rounded, meticulously shaped arrangement they advertise (second image attached), it's an improvement to the original arrangement (first image attached). Thank you.
4/23/25 - I ordered sympathy flowers for my mother-in-law and was disappointed with the quality of what was delivered. The arrangement I selected is titled "Cherished Friend", full of roses (see attached second image). What was delivered looks nothing like the picture advertised online (first image attached). I contacted the florist, who reached out to my mother-in-law. They wanted to see if they could pick up the flowers and deliver her a new arrangement. While I appreciate the florist's offer, this is the week of my father-in-law's funeral service and honestly, re-arranging her schedule to be home to accept another delivery is not something my mother-in-law could handle. She decided to accept what was delivered. As the customer, however, I am disappointed and embarrassed with the product that was delivered. This arrangement hardly resembles the photograph on the...
Read moreI had to double check to make sure I was reviewing the right place. I see tons of positive reviews for this place however, I’ve had a less than positive experience today. Today is my grandmothers birthday. I live near her home and my step mother (in North Carolina) notified me that she’d be sending my grandmother flowers like she usually does on her birthday.
I was working when my cell phone began getting various calls from the same caller ID. When listening to the voice messages a man kept referring to my order (I didn’t place the order) and called me multiple times back to back.
Upon returning the phone call, he was extremely rude and didn’t listen to anything I said. He told me “you NEED to answer the phone next time I call”. Next time he called, I didn’t answer because It’s the middle of the day on a Thursday and I have a job.
When listening to the voicemail he left me (again), the delivery driver told me “you’re supposed to pick up the phone. If you don’t answer I can’t drop off your stuff. You gotta let me know you’re there”. Excuse me…. What kind of customer service is this? As a patron or customer, I’ve never been talked to this way.
The best part is that after I called him back again, he told me he was just going to leave it on the front porch as my grandmother still was not home. Really horrible customer service...
