Black sheep is awesome! The owner is super cool and down to earth and knows what he’s talking about, the kavatender, jo, is very friendly and a good conversation if you are there by yourself. The product is not only reasonably priced but well made and the owner has a lot of experience on proper preparation so you get an authentic experience despite the atypical kava bar atmosphere. But along with that subject, the atypical atmosphere may be the best part about the establishment as most kava bars try to go for the stereotypical tiki bar aesthetic whereas black sheep goes for a grungy vibe for those who want a cool home away from home where anybody is accepted. One was the regular shell, which is larger than the ones I've had in the past at other bars, and the second was their Chai kava shot. I am not a fan of chai and neither is my husband, but we were pleasantly surprised and we really enjoyed it! It is more cinnamon forward and I think that is why we like it. We will definitely return as we'd like to play on one of the two billiards tables they have. I do wish they opened just an hour earlier though. Thank you guys for a...
