My experience in this location today 8/25/23 about a hour ago was horrible! It's was a lot of things that stood out & made my shopping experience at this location horrible, but I'll cut it down to my "top two"! First experience in line, because I had quite a few items I couldn't go to self check out so I go to the check out line with the conveyer belt and the cashier was Alondra, it was an older lady behind me with one item that could've done in self check out with her bottle of Wine. But no she stays behind me some of my items where in the back by the other customer with one item , she rudley asks me if the items are mines. I say yes and push them forward, she says your welcome rudley like I owed her and thankyou for my items that she wasn't paying for & I'm usually all about common courtesy & respecting your elders but I don't respect old fools! Then the not so lovely cashier Alondra, I guess I had to many items for her perhaps, or I guess at the beginning of scanning my items it was a issue because she had no cart to place my items by her & I was still taking items out my cart. It was a issue with the chip on my debit card for some reason & I had just used it at the gas station across the street from aldis with no problem. I'm repeatedly telling Alondra it doesn't swipe it's a chip. Long story short , Alondra loudly yells she needs a suspension & I had to go to my car & retrieve my phone to pay Via my phone. I will never come to this location again, also why is staff out in the way stocking so hard that customers couldn't retrieve items because they & the things they use to stock where in the way? I know as far as the public ppl are going to be ppl old fools & all. But the ppl you hire need to be trained better on customer service & talking to ppl. It's crazy you can never get a job at Aldis but the ppl who don't have the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Aldi at 6518 columbia Ave in July 3.I am a senior citizen and I purchased one pack of pork steak and one pack of bratwurst and several other items all my items were scanned by the cashier and paid for at register and received a receipt with all of my items listed after bagging my groceries I proceeded to to leave the store and the alarm went off.The security officer immediately came and stopped me and a female employee came up to me and said she needed to search my bags. She asked me did I buy some meat and that she would put my items back after she went and scanned the meat again. The cashier had already scanned and I did not understand why she needed to do that when they had been scan already.I was not the only black person stopped. Before me it was a black couple with baby back ribs that was stopped as well .I didnāt see any other people stopped but the blacks.I was so humiliated and embarrassed because I had my receipt with all of my items listed.I shop at this Aldi store regularly but after this incident I will not be returning. If the employees knew that the meat was triggering the alarm after one person the employee should went to the meat department and corrected this problem instead of embarrassing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe prices we experienced today are past price gouging. The named store, Food 4 Less, (owned by Kroger) had eggs for $2.69 a dozen. Aldis "low prices" as they advertise constantly, was $4.27 a dozen large eggs. This is way over ridiculous anywhere, but In Indiana especially because minimum wage is $7.25 in our glorious state. Are Wal Mart and Aldi not making enough hand over fist to give the citizens a break like our state gives them humongous tax and other breaks to build here? Where are morals and ethics? Did Sam Walton envision his offspring turning into non caring, oligarchy wannabe cheer leaders aspiring to use up the most raw materials beating out even U. S. Steel. Come on people. A healthy middle class supports all the higher ups. The higher ups just have to do without a tiny, minute, fraction less to see 3/4 ths of all having at least one less thing to worry about. If your answer to this is a hard no then at least stop bombarding us with commercials telling us about the great prices. Pass on your ad budget to savings, that alone should be able to feed a couple people. Pay it forward like so many of your customers do when giving the cart to the next...
