Bill and Ashley's Bargain Deals — Local services in North Vernon

I was told the store opened at noon, but drove 45 minutes and waited almost 3 hours outside of the store for someone to open. The girl who opened the store was extremely rude and called me a “b**”. I spoke with the owner who apologized and said that employee no longer works there. I had bought a bed and had it safely stored while waiting to buy a mattress and have time to put it together(which was about 2.5-3 weeks). Upon opening it and putting it together I discovered the bed had broken pieces in it. I was told they opened the box themselves and inspected it, which I believe they did because the box was not in great shape and had been taped back together. One of the pieces could’ve been easily missed because the crack was on the inside of a crevice where two pieces fit together. The other place was an hairline crack that was noticeable but could’ve been missed if someone was in a hurry and it ended up breaking completely apart once removed from the box.

Ashley had terrible communication with me and wouldn’t respond for days at a time. I would send a message, wait a few days and send another message. She waited over a week after receiving multiple messages from me and decided to respond at 8 or 9:00 at night on July 4 and her only response was “I have family in for the holidays hun please do not bother me with business on a holiday.” Then proceeded to get on her business page minutes later and start posting “deals”. When I picked the bed up at the store, the person working had to lift furniture off of it that had been stacked on top and she didn’t even help me carry it out of the store or load it. It was a struggle, but I managed to get it done without dropping it or bumping it into anything. Ashley did offer to replace the bed with a kids bed but she didn’t know if or when she would get one in, but never offered a refund. I told her I wanted the exact same bed if possible because it was a jeep bed and that’s what I wanted for my kids garage themed room. That was the whole purpose in buying this bed from them…because that’s what I wanted. I will never do business here again and I would highly suggest anyone considering it, to seek other options first. Just because it’s “cheaper” doesn’t mean it’s a great deal. There is a reason it’s cheaper. I normally won’t leave a bad review for a business, because things happen and people make mistakes, but when someone is unwilling to make it right and is rude with me because they made a mistake, it’s very frustrating and I’d like to try to prevent this situation from happening to...

I love to support local businesses however this is my third trip to this business and will certainly be my last. Many items are not priced and when they are not priced they barter with you at the register. Before reviewing I reached out to them and to say they were rude wouldn’t even cut it; the final message I received they were threatening to call the police on me over “alcohol gummies” of which I have no knowledge. I was respectful and was bombarded with multiple strange messages. And as another reviewer said they are marked down from retail but not by much. Do better if not for the community,...

I stopped into Bill and Ashley’s Bargain Deals today as a first time customer. I was on a mission to find my fur babies a new bed as their old one was quite worn down. I saw a Facebook post that looked like a size that would work for them so I had to go in and get it! The owner helped me out with getting a deal within my price budget and my fur babes are very happy with their new bed. Thanks again for the deal!!
