Just 3 months ago I left a good review of this restaurant; however, I had to update my rating after today's breakfast ordeal. The server, Donna, was very discourteous. The one cup of coffee she served was burnt / old, so we asked her if she could replace it with a fresh cup. She said Ok in a very snarky way, then as she walked away she gave us an "ugh" under her breath (unfortunately for her, I heard it). She returned with a new cup of coffee that tasted better so she tried to say that she got it from the same pot. Uh, no, it most certainly did not come from the same pot. If it did, then how did this cup of coffee turn white when you added one creamer but the first cup did not. As for the food, the corned beef hash looked awful!!! It was all potatoes and a smidgen of corn beef. It also looked like it was days old. It looked NOTHING like I got it the last time I was there 3 months ago. A shame because that was the whole reason I decided to eat there for breakfast. We told our waitress about it and again she gave us major attitude. In turn, I got the sausage links and ordered my eggs over medium. The sausage links were so gross (very dry and weird tasting, again like they were old) I had to spit them out. Then, my eggs were NOT over medium. They were more like VERY lightly cooked, very runny like soup. At this point I lost my appetite and decided I was done, couldn't eat anything. We waited and waited for our server to come to us to see how everything was or to give us our check. The one other table there had a different server and she checked in on them constantly. At this point, we decided to just go up to the register so we could pay and leave. That's when I caught our server talking about us near the register. She complained about us asking for separate checks to her coworker and stated to her how it was rude of us to ask. I didn't know that was rude. Never had an issue with that at any other restaurant. I'm sorry I have to leave this review but if there would have been a manager or an owner there for us to talk to, then maybe this could have been resolved a different way. I don't know what happened to the quality of the food either. Lastly, we arrived just before 11 am but was refused the breakfast prices because we had to order before 11 am, not get there before 11 am. We missed the breakfast prices by 2 minutes. I don't understand why diners do that. Why can't they honor the breakfast prices to those that get seated by 11 am?? Needless to say I had to pay extra for food I didn't even eat. Very sad that I won't be going back here any time...
Read moreThis place is expensive and not a place to go when your in a hurry. The service is slow and the food there is not the best. Breakfast items are fairly good. But I ordered shrimp and scallops alfredo which was terrible. The cook came out and agreed that it was not good and he said I didn't have to pay for the meal. But when I went to leave and received the bill I was charged for the sides that came with the meal. I was charged for the crab bisque soup that I only tasted and didn't eat because it was not good. My friend or dog couldnt eat it either. And I was charged for a salad that I ate which was ok but it was a very small portion. I was also charged for the rice pudding that I couldn't eat because the rice was so hard. My friend and dog couldn't eat it either. I don't know how they could serve such incredibly bad food and expect full payment. The coffee was just ok as I expect good coffee at a diner. The amount that I was charged shocked me when I was presented with the bill. The sides were included in the meal which I was told I wasn't going to be charged for the meal. I was charged almost the same amount that I would have paid for the meal less $2. I was not happy with the food. Even my service dog wouldn't eat any of the food and turned his head when smelling it. My friend ordered a turkey dinner which when it came we both were shocked at the small portion that was served. The turkey dinner came not as a diner, but it was plopped in a ball on a small plate. The service was bad to boot. It took such a long time to order. And everything asked for took such a long time. Very very disapointed with every aspect of the meal. And somehow when looking at my bank statement they charged three dollars more than what my bill said. It ended up costing more than that it would have cost for the original cost of the meal. I always say I'm not going there again. I should have taken my own advice. Now I know never to go there again. I only gave them 1 star because there is nothing less. From the cashier to the waitress to the cook to the food - they all failed. I paid over $30 for this...
Read moreI believe it was the owner or manager who greeted us and was around the restaurant during our visit. She was very friendly, kind, and sweet.... however the one and only server that was on staff was absolutely hands down the most rude, unpleasant and most extremely unprofessional human being I have ever encountered in my life. As if her mannerisms and social abilities weren't bad enough, her waitresses skills weren't much better. She took forever to take our order, kept piling plates after plates on the table without clearing any, leaving zero room to eat, didn't once come ask how everything was or refill our drinks once food was brought, and didn't even know what was in her own food menu items. I wanted their mini tacos and when asked what comes in them if it is only meat and cheese her response was "I have no idea. They just take them out of the box in the freezer and throw them in the fryer. I don't eat fried foods either so I couldn't even help you." And then left it at that! Didn't even bother to go check with the kitchen or check the "box" to see what it was. Our food also came out with the pancake burnt and bread to a chicken parm sandwhich completely burnt. I'm all for giving food a second try but the entire experience with our server and her attitude/professionalism will 1000% stop me, along with all family and friends, from ever coming back again. Highly...
