MGM Northfield Park — Local services in Northfield

I am a long time customer since back when it was Hard Rock. Like everyone that goes, I spend a lot of money there multiple times a week. And last night it was Friday and went like I always do. Went out to the smoking area and sat down at a machine added money and played my free play. I was on a free game when all of the sudden this lady says I stole her machine. I assured her there was no money when I sat and the chair when not turned around. She was aggressive keeps saying it was her machine and she had money in it and the chair turned. I hit the service light and said have a worker check the machine because there was no money it in when I sat down and check the camera to see the chair was regular. A worker arrives and checks machine but can only see the money I added and something about 10 logs and says maybe I can split the money I made off it. Which is absolutely ridiculous! Then the aggressive lady said I don't want her money just my machine. I asked what are you saying you left in it she replies $1.80 which the workers said they were giving back. I left the machine feeling like I was being accused of stealing. I feel the workers handled the situation poorly. They should have said once you leave a machine you may loose it. Or have someone watch it. There was another lady chiming in after the fact that she was playing there. Well maybe she should have said something before I sat down and played there for 10 plus mins not say something when the workers show up? But again if there is no money in the machine and the chair is sitting in a regular position I would never feel like I can't sit there. I always respect when I see chairs turned. I have also seen workers turning chairs around which probably causes issues like i had? So come on mgm handle this situation better! Don't make customers feel like they did something wrong in situations like this and reward this behavior. I quit going to Jack because of this exact reason. Walking in, I found $1000 in cash laying on the sidewalk. There was no one around. I told security that I would be playing at the casino and was looking for someone to claim the cash. I would be devastated if I lost that amount of cash. They wanted me to give them the money, insisting that I do so....I declined.... I wanted to give it to the owner. I was forthcoming and provided my identification when requested.... I wasn't trying to hide anything.. only to return the funds to the owner

They called the police, who proceeded to handcuff me, a 65 year old woman who was trying to do the right thing!

The event got me sick so that I was sweating and desperately needed to use the restroom. The police officer would not let me go to the restroom even though I was bending over with cramps. He threatened to throw me on the floor if I got off the chair again even though I was clearly in pain. The police officer asked several times if I had a mental health problem. I guess honesty is now considered a mental health problem!?

I don't expect that the owner of this lost cash will ever receive their funds back. I eventually gave it to the officer, at which time the handcuffs were removed and the police officers disappeared. I received no receipt for the funds taken nor was there any discussion about an incident report describing the funds that were found.

Horrible experience from someone who was trying to be forthcoming and return the money to the owner.

I will never go to an MGM facility again and I will advocate to others to do the same. I don't fool myself into thinking that MGM cares one iota about this statement. But maybe a few citizens will consider that their rights and safety are at risk...

I paid for a handicap accessible seat. Per Ticketmaster it states the seat I chose is for wheelchair accessible or handicap accessible. I paid good money for my seat as I have to use a walker. It was the end seat on an aisle, so I would have a great view since they talk your walker away and I am unable to stand for the concert. Well, this foreigner usher said he had to go speak to someone about wheelchair accessible. Well this other security person comes up and says it's for wheelchair accessible only (I can't see how someone in a wheelchair can fit in this cramped folding chair seat that is attached to the ones next to it), and moves me and my friend to the other end of the row so now I'm by the outside wall, and missed the whole show because now I have people standing in front of me the whole time. I paid for my seat and my friends seat which was a companion seat for someone needing a handicap accessible seat. To make matters worse, they gave my seat to someone who was not in a wheelchair, let alone not handicap at all, no walker or even a cane. So I paid good money to have an aisle seat so I can see, forced to move to another seat for someone with a wheelchair, only to have someone get my great seat that didn't even have a handicap. Don't know if I'll ever return there again. This is second incident I have had there where they treat someone with a disability like a burden. I will be contacting Ticketmaster, and maybe...
