Cake & Candy Center — Restaurant in Northfield

I went to this store to purchase candy wafers and supplies for a nice size order. I entered store and peeked around the shelving to say hello. I was greeted with a dry hi. I chalked it up to end of the work day tiredness. After viewing the wafers, I noticed that two of the colors that I needed were not available. As I was in midstream of asking the clerk if she had additional colors, she did not stop to address me but instead kept walking and stopped to greet the Caucasian gentleman that entered the store. She then answered his questions before coming back to me. Needless to say I left the store and purchased the items from a different store.

I support local businesses and small businesses and do not like to leave bad reviews; however the clerk was was rude and unprofessional. I do not know the motivation behind her demeanor, but my suggestion is for her to learn how to treat...

Where do I start? I called and asked for a heart cake and they acted like they were doing me some sort of favor for making me a cake?! I’ve ordered cakes from them in the past and they were never this hostile on the phone. I keep very specific instructions. I made it very clear over the phone I wanted a heart shaped cake with a purple pallet with flowers going up the side. She didn’t follow my instructions at all. I got a round cake with a little bit of purple on the bottom and a little on top no flowers and she just put some hearts on the cake it looked like a little kids cake. My wife was expecting a gorgeous cake because we have night from this bakery for years and they did not deliver. Next time I think we will just go get a Walmart shaped cake for $20 at least those look good and taste good and don’t cost...

Very weird experience I just had. I’m actually sitting in my car in the parking lot as I just left out. Went in to inquire about cupcakes for my upcoming birthday. Thinking they had some fresh for sale in their case, they did not. Saw a 6 pack in the refrigerator. Asked about those and she said they had cassata ones freshly made. So I’m assuming those I asked about were not. Told the lady I wanted to buy some to try as I’m looking to order a couple dozen for my upcoming birthday. She offered me no help AT ALL and it was EXTREMELY clear she didn’t want to sell ANYTHING to ME. I know this still exists and no matter how many times it happens to me, it still sucks when I encounter it. My money is just as good as anyone else’s. Oh...
