Spiller Furniture & Mattress — Local services in Northport

I would have loved to rate higher but due to my experience I can't. I went to purchase some furniture here for my first apartment. After I went through the process and completed the sale the furniture was scheduled to be delivered to my place on Saturday. My apartment is on the third floor and has a washroom right next to it which can make it hard for large items such as the furniture I picked out to come through it. So with that being said when the time came for my sectional sofa to be delivered the delivery guys weren't able to get it through due to the narrow entry way. I completely understood, so I immediately called the store to let them know what happened and went to pick out some more furniture. The store was great about returning the sectional sofa and getting my paperwork done for the next furniture sale and even had the guys come back out that same day to deliver it. So this time around the same thing happened the guys once again claimed the furniture wouldn't fit due to the entry way. During the time that they were trying to get it through (which was only about 4 minutes) I was standing there watching and saw that they honestly weren't even trying. I even offered them a tip to try turning it a specific way, one of the guys being a "delivery expert" told me that wouldn't work and I'm just going to have to downsize and get something smaller and they left. I was upset and disappointed because I really loved the furniture I picked out. After the delivery guys left I debated going to a different furniture store but as I stated I loved the furniture I picked out so much and I just couldn't bring myself to believe that it wouldn't fit. So I sit at my new apartment on the floor waiting for someone from spillers to call me to tell me my next option which probably would've been to come in and pick something smaller or try at a different store. So to my surprise after about 2 hours of waiting I never received any call so I had to take matters into my own hands. Thank God I stuck with my belief and ended up going to the spillers in Tuscaloosa. I explained to the spillers Tuscaloosa staff what happened, which they were also in disbelief and stated they would get their deliver guys to come out and try, but due to this taking place on a Saturday and the time they wouldn't be able to until Monday. So After a long day and hours of sitting on the floor finally Monday came and the delivery guys from Spillers in Tuscaloosa arrived. Wow!!.. is all I can say. I met some of the the sweetest people ever. Mrs. Donna Sellers who runs the Spillers Furniture Store in Northport.. I LOVE HER! She's one class-act. She helped us without any problems. She handled us with care! I was looking for something not too expensive and she showed me some very good options to choose from. We talked just like we knew each other for years and come to find out, we are from the same city.. go figure! I’ve been buying furniture from spillers for a long time I love the choice of furniture they have and I love the payment plan and also love when they have sales. The other great thing I love about spillers is the employees are always so friendly and always willing to go overboard to see that their customers are satisfied with the purchases.
