I can't say enough about Sam’s. If you have a problem, ANY problem with your phone, take it here FIRST! My iPhone 6s had a problem where it stopped charging and was stuck on the iPhone Logo. I took it to Verizon where it remained on the iPhone logo and unable to charge. They recommended I take it to the Apple Store. Don’t waste your time with the APPLE Store. I made an appointment the next day and was there 2-1/2 hours. I was LIED to by their "Geniuses". After examination and attempts to charge my phone, I was told It could be my Battery and I was eligible for a free battery replacement or I could exchange the phone for $299.00. I asked about changing the Charging Port, since I initially had battery, but now it would not charge. I was told that was not possible as it was built into the phone. LIE number ONE. After an 1-1/2 hour wait for the Battery to be replaced, the "Genius" came out with my Dead Phone, said they couldn't get it to work, but that now I had a “NEW BATTERY”. LIE number TWO. I took my Dead Phone, went home and started researching online for help. I found a whole treasure trove of info on this phone and it's problems, however nothing I tried fixed it. During my research I found the Charging port could be changed. The next day I took my phone to CPR, where they changed the charging port and replaced the “OLD original BATTERY” with a NEW ONE. The Apple Store had NOT changed THE BATTERY. IT was not NEW. CPR had it charging, but the phone remained stuck on the iPhone Logo. CPR recommended SAM's CELL PHONE in O’Fallon for possible Microsoldering. I took it there the next day. I told Sam I really needed my photos and do whatever he could. Sam gave me a 2-3 business day turn around and within 24 hours was calling with the Great News that my phone was Working and all my info was on it! I can't Thank Sam Enough!!!! My advice, Back up your Info, on ALL of your Electronics, but any problems with your phone, tablet, etc..Try SAM’s first!...
Read moreI would guess if you use this business 9 of 10 times you will have a positive experience judging by reviews. I did not however and here is my feedback why. First the good: waited only 90 mins to get a screen replaced on my galaxy note 8 and it looked great. The bad: returned home and 3 hours later discovered the charge port was not aligned or allowing me to plug it in. Called the store and advised what happened and they advised they were closing soon, left me w no choice but to come in next day and my phone to remain unusable. No apologies for trouble, no ownership of problem. So I arrived 20 mins after open the next day and asked for help. I also advised that this was really messing up family bday plans and taking a lot of time out of my day. I Asked for some kind of compensation, $10-15 for my time and hour long round trip to their business. The gentleman helping was rude, defensive, said he always checks his work, leaving the impression i did this. No apologies, no ownership, and no compensation. He said it's against store policy. I asked to talk to a manager or owner, a phone or email to discuss with them, and he refused to give me that info. I had to wait another 2 hours approx for repair. I returned in a rush late for the bday party for my kids and grabbed my phone. Gentlemen there handed it over w no apology or ownership of problem for wasting my time and told me to have a nice day. I think if you dont have a problem this store will be fine, but if you do they are not interested in taking ownership or accommodating for their mistakes. Last it's important to note i chose the store bc of the 5 star reviews. I learned when i arrived they have a sign up offering customers $5 credits or free screen protectors for google reviews. I said something to the man in the store about this and when i returned i noticed it was removed. My opinion, be wary of any business compensating for reviews. Not a wise...
Read moreI dropped my sons Xbox off at Sam‘s cell phone repair because it was lagging. I got a call the next day telling me that it just needed to be cleaned and they got it back to working well and not lagging. I paid for it and picked it up. When I went to plug it in for the first time it wouldn’t even turn on. Took it back to Sam cell phone repair where I was told it needed a new HDMI port which it never needed before. I was told that my kids maybe got into it and broke it which never happened. I was told maybe it got broken in my car which never happened. I was blamed as a customer for an issue with my ps5 that worked when I dropped it off. They kept it for overnight had me pick it up and never even worked on it my ps5 is not evening functioning. They said that if I want it to work I can pay more money to repair it for being broken and they’ll give me a discount this time after I already paid for them to clean it when it worked. I wonldnt recommend them to anyone. My 500 game council that worked when I dropped it off is now broken and won’t even turn on. The owner didn’t even handle the issue. Having a family owned business myslef I couldn’t even imagine blaming a customer for something. They tried to tell me that I just didn’t want to spend the money to have it fixed again. I had no issue at all having them fix it the first time and pay or having them fix six other devices that they have fixed for me. They tried to say I just didn’t want to pay more for the repair….. UNREAL!!!! 500 dollar...
