On March 28, 2025, I visited Randallâs to request a resizing of my diamond and gold ring, increasing its size. I was quoted an estimated cost between $51 and $55, with the understanding that I would be contacted if the final price exceeded this range. I was also informed the service would take approximately one week.
By April 10, 2025, I had not received any updates, so I reached out that morning for a status update. I was told the ring would be available the following day between 10:00 and 10:15 AM. However, later that same day at 4:23 PM, I received a call notifying me that the ring was completed and ready for pickupâwith a total cost of $148.20 plus tax.
When I expressed my surprise and referenced the original quote and the promise of a call if the price changed, the staff member I spoke with, Tommy, laughed dismissively. Once he realized I was serious, he stated he would speak with Jeannie and get back to me. Just six minutes later, at 4:29 PM, I received a text from Jeannie stating that the ring work was just beginning and asked if I approved the new priceâdespite the earlier call claiming the ring was already finished. (Screenshots of this conversation will be included for reference.)
On April 11, 2025, I arrived to pick up the ring. Upon inspection, I noticed one of the diamonds appeared to be set lower than the others and looked out of place. I strongly suspect that one of the smaller diamonds may have been replacedâpossibly as retaliation for questioning the unexpected price increase.
Given this experience, I cannot recommend Randallâs for any jewelry repair or customization services. I would advise others to consider alternative jewelers who offer better transparency, professionalism, and respect for...
Read moreI brought a necklace in for repair and was told it would be about a week since the repairs are not done on premises. After I didn't hear back in a week, I called to inquire and was told the person who does the repairs was backed up, so it would be a few more days and I would get a call with an update. After not receiving the update, I called again after several days passed and I was told it was still not repaired but should be done soon and I would definitely get a call. I waited a few days and since I didn't get a call, I called again. This was now over 3 weeks. I explained my frustration and again, I was told he was backed up and it would be done early the following week. I said that at this point, I just wanted my necklace back. When I called a few days later, my necklace was back in the store and not complete. I went to pick it up and when I began to express my disappointment, the owner cut me off mid-sentence and said there's no point to talk further. No apology and no repair. Thankfully, I found another jeweler close to where I reside in Oakland Park who fixed it in 5 minutes while I waited and charged me $5. While I cannot speak to the jewelry sold in the store, I would definitely not recommend getting any repair...
Read moreMaybe think twice about dropping off your jewelry here! I dropped off two things a ring to get resized and a watch for a battery change. It took about two weeks and with no report or follow up call for status I was the one that called twice to see if it was ready. When I got there for pick up it was the incorrect watch. This was my second time going and it was a pleasant visit and much quicker. But this time was a super stressful situation for my pregnant self. My watch was now misplaced or lost. The owner - Tom was super rude, condescending, and defense even though I was the customer with something to lose!!! For context, my watch was not a Rolex it was Bulova since the owner made it clear he deals with much more âexpensive thingsâ - types of comments I was getting from him. It took about an hour of searching before finding my watch after I had left already hoping for a âcallâ. Itâs just not worth going again for me very unorganized, unprofessional, and clearly no...
