The task of finding a competent and skillful automobile electronics installer has finally come to end. Through trial and error the long, expensive and painful process of having my electronics connected to my car will now only be conducted by Sound Source USA. The shop will not only meet your high standards, but their workmanship will last the test of time. I've been a client on and off for the past ten years. The owner is beyond helpful and friendly. I've asked every stupid question possible (see list of question below) and to my amazement he is always respectful and actually provides positive feedback. Sound Source USA has tinted my windows, created custom boxes, installed stereos, kill switches, speakers and entertain my audiophile fantasy.
The shop is a little pricier than other local shops, BUT trust me you will save money and time in the long run by having them do the job. You won't have to trouble shoot another shop's work, question their workmanship or quality of products. Sound Source USA carries top shelf products that again are little more expensive, but a lot more durable.
Questions awesomely entertained by Sound Source USA: Will you install an equalizer on the interior roof of my car? Will a cop stop me for tinting my front windows? Will you build me a custom box that is small, loud and awesome? Does this shirt make me look sexy? Can you install a gun rack? How about a turret in my sun roof?
The answers to all the questions are a solid "Yes!"... But only question 4 really...
Read moreI called Allen at Sound Source and stopped by to have him put a new stereo in my partners car for Christmas. Allen didn't have any car stereos in stock and instructed me to go to another shop, purchase a stereo and bring it back to his shop to install for $250. I immediately purchased the stereo and brought it back to Allen's shop. He explained that he was too busy & I'd have to wait until after Christmas for him to install it. After the holidays I called & spoke to Allen twice and each time he told me he'd call me back, but never did. I called him a third time in the middle of February and Allen told me to bring the car into his shop. Allen took the car & we returned the next day to pick it up. When we came into his shop, Allen completely ignored us. He had been polite before, so I couldn't understand why his demeanor had changed. Then Allen asked me for $100 more than he quoted when he first inspected the car. When I reminded Allen of his original quote, he became irritated and told me to pay him $300, which I did. When I asked Allen to explain some of the features of the new stereo to my partner, he became more irritated. I was very surprised about how rude Allen was acting towards us, considering how patient I'd been. Hopefully his installation work is reliable because I won't be going back to...
Read moreReached out regarding the installation of a backup camera and was quoted $100. Decided I would actually install a new stereo to work better with backup camera. He said it would be fine but did not arrange what the cost would be beforehand. When I went in, I was told it would be $650. That's ridiculous. I asked again about how much the backup camera install alone was and he said $400. I told him he quoted me a different amount before of $100. He insisted it was $400. He was clearly lying and trying to take advantage of me. I left because I did not trust his honesty. He also said the install of stereo and backup camera would take all day.
I found another place (MCA Car Audio & Alarm) that did installation of stereo and backup camera for $250 and it was done in under two hours. . Pedro comes to you. He's super reliable and trustworthy.
