I collect comics. Those of us who are in to this hobby, "This Lifestyle". Whether its because we relate to that one character we read about when we were little and continued following the ways of the world which your charachter helped raise you and base your morals on. Theres also those who saw a couple of the new movies released over the last decayed or so and understood that the stories were from something, and if you found which book that next something is gonna be pulling its story from, then you just got on board just in time. Cuz theres a whole lotta adventures and journeys to go down from here on out. Sometimes its even just the hunt for that variant you need and it seems like nobody has in stock. But deep down you know its out there You just gotta find it. "Thats the thrill Im talking about" Along with a mild case of hulk smash syndrome building up if that specific variant wherever it is currently making its way to you, or you to it, But Vibranium without a worry has those Banner Manners right back in check because your book is safely secured-well bagged and boarded. Also every time was cheaper than I expected to pay. Now Im sure we all reading are aware of the different comic/collectible buying environments that are out there. The dirty little whole in the wall with a table and some books with a sign out front made no better than one made of a sheet and some shoe polish reading "I ASSURE YOU WE'RE OPEN". Then theres the online thing. No details needed. Too many stories. This is a review of Vibranium Comics. COLLECT Well the story of how I became of knowledge to this establishment. As I opened, "I Collect Comics" I have lived in Ocala just over 6 months now. Moved down from Michigan. Affer Trying a few places. Picking up a thing or two there. Then almost ready to give up hope on finding that place. I went to Tampa Bays Con and after seeing how well of a con wizard world does. Kinda figured for now Im gonna be getting to know the UPS, USPS and fedex drivers pretty good. But then I realized the spider-gwens were getting released. So I went to search and call around the local shops to find out who had what and if it was gonna be a hunt. When I looked a store that Id never really believed was there until now. But there were the words right in front of me "Vibranium Comics" Called em up. They had em. Cover Price. So I told Siri where we were goin. She led the way. and after about 2 hours i finally walked out of one of the best shops I could have hoped for. Very Nice, Organized. Protected covers, Cool statues, Figures mods and other collectibles and the staff was just great. They know how to make you feel welcome and take care of whatever they have to be taking care of at the same time. All in All. Great Shop. Whether you are or you aren't. You think you might be but you not sure. If youve even looked down a toy aisle for a glance of a second at minimum at Target or Walmart. Go take a few minutes and rejuvenate that kid in you and check...
Read moreThe store room and the gaming area is huge! It was clean, well lit and relatively easy to move around. Lots of Ttrpgs,Board games, retro and current video games(some console systems too I think), a large manga section and even bigger comic area. Good selection of dice, figurines, cards too. Lots of paint and terrain pieces for wargame and rpg minis, couldn't find Giant Rat minis at the time but there were plenty of others to choose from.
There was at least 2 bathrooms that were functional and clean. Great for when you're playing a wargame on 2 monsters and some probiotic grape soda from Target.
The staff was great! Everyone at the counter could answer my questions, that one lady helped me find my old comics plus lead to me where the Giant rats would be if they were in stock.
Special thanks to the fella I forgot the name of who does the Warmachine/Warmahordes games. He was polite, professional, and patient! The game has a lot of rules so I had many questions and I had to redo a bit of stuff but he never showed any attitude! Good stuff!
Also, the rack with free games for all to play had like 6 feet by 4feet by 3 feet volume of assorted board games to play! Plus it wasn't the generic stuff either.
There was snacks available but I didn't buy anything. But a note on what I did buy. The brown grab bags for the trading card games have chance to have a ticket for a prize? Didn't get one for my purchase but I got a chunk of stuff for some casual magic with the sibling. The MTG grab bag had stuff from 2000(Like Odyessy?) to 2025(The recent Tarkir?). There was a card from the first Ravinca block and the second Ravinca block which made me smile.
There's a corkboard for LFG, mini painters and some other stuff advertised.
Lastly, the location did not have that musky cardboard mixed with body odor smell that some game stores have. I don't know what the deal with that is, but this place smelled good and thankfully didn't have it.
I am not local but I would definitely visit again if I...
Read moreBought a used game boy advance SP as a Christmas gift from here. As I was buying it I asked them about their return policy and they told me as long as I come in within 14 days I can return it no problem. They NEVER mentioned store credit. Got it home and the game boy wouldnât even charge. Made another trip from Leesburg to Ocala to return it and they said it was a battery issue and changed out the battery. Then when I got it home to play it, it would continuously restart a few minutes into playing a game. So I made a THIRD trip to Ocala just for them to tell me they can only give me store credit, âespecially with the console turning onâ. Proves they didnât even test out the game it before throwing on the shelves to sell. After reading the reviews, I realized Iâm not the only person this has happened to. Makes sense why they donât do refunds for cash, they would go out of business for selling faulty gaming systems. I do not and will not recommend this place to anyone else and will be taking my business elsewhere. And no, you arenât sorry that I feel this way. Or else you would actually rectify the situation instead of either forcing me to shop with you or lose $130 dollars....
