Added Touch Salon & Day Spa — Local services in Odessa

A few days ago I called to book a haircut appointment at Added Touch Salon and Day Spa, and I let them know that this would be my first time visiting their salon. The stylist said she could get me in at 6pm yesterday (Thursday). However, she called me at around 2:30pm yesterday (3.5 hours before my appointment) to tell me that she had a bunch of cancelations and ended up leaving the salon altogether for the day. To her credit, she did tell me she would still come back to do my cut at 6pm, but the mere fact that she was calling me about it told me it would inconvenience her so I rescheduled. She said she could do 2pm today (Friday) instead. At about 1:30pm today (30 minutes before the appointment) she called me AGAIN. She was in Independence having car trouble (which I understand) and asked if I could possibly do 3pm or 3:30pm instead. I told her yes, and even offered to just let her play it by ear and text/call me when she was on her way back to town. At about 4pm I was getting a little frustrated that I had not heard from her since 1:30pm (especially since she had offered a 3pm appointment) so I texted her to ask if she had an idea of what time she’d be able to cut my hair. When I still had no phone call or even a text response by 5pm, I texted her and cancelled altogether. I tried calling a few other place to get a last minute cut, but they were all booked. I have an event tomorrow (Saturday) so I was really counting on getting this done. Instead, I was rescheduled TWICE by this stylist, and completely ghosted. Since she left me hanging the entire day, it was too late to book somewhere else, and there was no effort on her part to let me know she had to cancel or to get me booked with another stylist at the salon. I understand that life can get in the way and people go through things all of the time, but the absolute lack of professionalism and customer consideration is appalling, especially when you’re trying to acquire new clients, like I would have been. However, now I will not be going to Added Touch. I have read a few other reviews about poor customer consideration, and after today I implore Added Touch to reevaluate who they have representing...

My family went here to receive a set of four pedicures (One for each female family member). There was only two seats for the pedicure station and the massage seats that are reserved for people waiting in line for the pedicure were broken. Yes, the seats were broken and the price was twice as much as the usual place that my family goes to..... which still provides a very good service. This place.... is terrible however. These pedicures look like the ones my preteen niece does on my wife's toes, what kind of cosmetology school did these amateurs...
