Black Box Coffee — Restaurant in Odessa

My family and I were in town for wrestling. I love coffee, so had my son drive us to this little shop. I love a good hole in the wall. The two young ladies working were very nice, and both had smiles. I asked their opinion on what I should get. They made me a Gary it was wonderfully delicious and met all my expectations. Perfectly sweet with little tart. My son got a Carmel Macchiato cold and said it was one of the best he had in a long time. The in side was very inviting and warm. They had plenty of nice seating. Coffee was good, layout of the place was charming (such beautiful chairs & couches, too!), but customer service left much to be desired. Sounded like they'd had a crazy morning & a lot gone wrong, but for the whole duration of my visit, all they could talk about was the terrible morning & what a "sh-t show" it was (at loud volumes), not greeting customers & acting dismissive of them & their attempts at pleasantries. Tried to give this local coffee shop the benefit of the doubt after ownership changed, but it’s been long enough now that the hiccups should be worked through. Service has really gone downhill. Also, please turn off your online ordering if you’re not going to monitor it. Every time I’ve used it over the last year it’s taken 30+ minutes over estimated time and you have to remind them at the counter. I wish that was ann exaggeration.
