The manager Rose is very rude and unprofessional. I specifically pointing to a stack of tile and asked her if it was (just like the sign said)$1.00 a piece. She told me yes, I was super excited and with the help of a very helpful associate, loaded at least 100 of them onto a flatbed cart. I was purchasing cabinets along with other items and when I rolled the flatbed to the register (loaded up with other tile I found) she changed the price to $3.50 a piece and was so rude in saying "that's what it is!" She was very condescending and beyond rude. The cashier just got done telling me they received a truck load of tile. I don't understand why Rose wouldn't honor the price she originally gave me, especially to make room for the tile that was currently being unloaded off the truck. To make matters worse, when the associate was moving the tile on the flat bed, it was sliding off and falling to the ground and breaking. Rose yelled at the associate and I explained to her that it wasn't his fault, it's a lot of tile and it's heavy. he was really trying to be careful. Her response was "it's okay, we'll just glue it later!" and looked at me with meanness in her eyes. she'd rather trash it, than honor her price...is what I was thinking. It's a shame that Rose has any position in management, every single associate I talked to was awesome and helpful and I feel bad that they work with such a toxic and unprofessional human being. One of the associates is a young man, hard working and super helpful. Rose is to be an example, she has the responsibility to train and grow her employees and volunteer's. customer service is HUGE! If Rose hasn't learned how to own her mistakes and make things right, she is not a good representation of The Restore (Habitat for Humanity) and all the positive and wonderful things associated with the organization. I will never shop at this store again. Thanks to Rose, they easily lost an additional $500, I would of added to my purchase and forever lost a returning customer. I do not recommend this...
Read moreThe boys who came to pick up took very little of what we had set aside to donate leaving a bunkbed, vacuums, twin headboard, chandaler, 2 desks, 4 lamps. 2 caned wicker chairs, etc... We felt very insulted as they turned their noses up at building supplies too, lumber, ceiling tiles & paste. All in all i wouldn't bother with this company again!!
Mr. Jorgensen nearly everything we had would have fit in the truck with a little creativity and effort. The lamps were less than 5 years old in good working order, clean and undamaged. The ceiling tiles were still in sealed boxes and the paste unopened. The desks were midcentury modern and would have sold easily. None of the lumber was dirty or had had nails or screws in them. We had printed the chart on the web site and made special effort to seperate out things specifically for Restore. We had called the Restore for pickup as we wanted to help those in need of housing with our donations. Your driver told us that perhaps the Salt Lake Restore should have come. Well guess what, they were called but would not come to Centerville as it is in the Ogden district. Your driver also told us the bunkbed wouldn't sell yet when it was offered on FB hours later somone happily came and got it along with 1 of the desks and bookcases. So everything was in a gently used state and desireable and give to DI instead. The lumber is still here along with 20 or so recently removed shelves and brackets. Sadly because of the drivers rejections they will be going...
Read moreIt's a 50/50 or maybe even a 40/60 split due to the fact that the store has a lot of amazing stuff and keeps you looking for that one special item that you've been looking for for a while but just can't seem to find it's probably there but on the other end the staff leaves little to be desired as far as friendliness kindliness or even something other than a cold shoulder seems like they are mad at the world hate the fact that they have a job that seems to be fun and just overall hate the customer in general but the prices are good products are awesome if only they could do something about helping their customers instead of stalking them and kind of bull that they would sell something that is supposedly new but when it is broken will not take it back or let you exchange it for something that isn't they say that they check everything and that it works when they put it out however just because something works on high does not mean that it works if it doesn't work on low and vice versa shop at your own risk and curb your attitude at the door because these people have plenty of their own...
