Have you ever taken a bite of something and just knew it was going to make you sick? That’s what happened here. We used to LOVE this place. 8 years ago I would have recommended this place to everyone. Not sure if ownership has changed or if it is something completely different but it is just gross now.
We went in December 2024 and NONE of the food was being stored in a way that would keep away bacteria. We ordered tacos and a chile relleno plate. The taco meat was rancid. The pico was frozen. The salsas were sour as if they were made 4 days ago. The Chile relleno seemed like it had been frozen, defrosted to display in their heat box for the day, re-frozen and re-defrosted for who knows how many days. The oil used for the chile relleno must have been super old and dirty because it literally left the most foul taste in your mouth that wouldn’t go away even after brushing and using mouth wash multiple times. I understand wanting to save money and not knowing the amount of traffic you get each day to prepare food but this is not the right way to do it. A chile relleno doesn’t take much time to make fresh so I don’t get why they had so much food already prepared and sitting in a hot box to become rancid and make your customers sick. After just a bite, we both knew and threw it out. This was 3 days ago and I...

I especially recommend tacos de tripa ("bien doradas," or crisped up on the griddle until golden)--a dish that's generally hard to find, and hard to find this fresh. Also the only place in Ogden where I've gotten authentic birria with real mutton ("borrego"). Sometimes I come just for a serving of beans and rice to take home, or for some fried mojarra fish. Anyway, for my money, the best Mexican...

I was the only one in the restaurant... and to top it off, when I paid, it came out to 20$ for four tacos and a small 20 Oz soda. Yeah I did ask for the medium sized tortilla which was 3.50 a taco, coming out to 14$.. then the small soda... but when the gentleman said 20$. I was surprised.. heading to work I look at the receipt and I was charged 3.50 for a 1 ltr soda, even though I bought the 20 oz. And, the total was 19.40, not 20$....
