El Changarro Loco — Restaurant in Ogden

Fun locally owned Mexican restaurant on Washington Blvd in Ogden. I went there for the Dubai chocolate.

It was a Saturday afternoon and the door was locked but they let me in. They were closed to work on a large order (I would recommend they put a sign on the door to let customers know).

Dubai chocolate is really trendy right now and I wanted to try it. You can get a strawberry cup or get strawberries over churros.

They said they’d let me order that, so I got one of each. The churros were still warm, very good, with strawberries, chocolate and strawberries.

The strawberries were really good and very fresh. I tried the cup at another restaurant and they had the chocolate and pastatio cream poured over it. This one was more solid like you get on chocolate dipped strawberry. It had the actual nuts and the crunchy stuff over it.

I ate almost all of it because I couldn’t stop. It’s rich, very high quality and so delicious. I’m not sure if it’s a permanent menu item but it’s an incredible dessert. You do pay more but to me it’s worth it for an occasional dessert.

I hope to go back and try...

By far the worst place to go crooks, had an order about 48 dollars ish, Male owner was in the register took our order then asked us if we would like our receipt so we said yes he started at it for about a good 3 min then handed it over we had to go to the back and ask for our drinks coke and a Sprite then does not even open the thing so had to ask for a bottle opener , then we obviously started to look at the receipt to see why was he so hesitant to hand it over , well you guessed it we where over charged a good 13 min later the man that took our order came out the kitchen with blue latex gloves, I started to wonder how about if some one is allergic to latex . Well long story short he did not come out with the food so I told em just make what u charged me then some lady comes out the back no hat no hair net from the kitchen tells me I have to leave because I was mad...

I took my brother here to show him what kind of delicious Mexican food we have here in Ogden. We got some asada tacos and we each got a quesabirra. The food was absolutely delicious, the salsas were tasty, and we left feeling very pleased

But now, 5 hours after our meal we are suffering. I have never felt pain like this leave the end of my body that isn't my mouth. We are both taking turns in and out of the bathroom and we can't last more than 20 minutes without having to go again. It's like someone shoved a road flare inside of me. A river of pain every 15 minutes. I think their food is wonderful going in, but it will tear through you faster than a dog with something it shouldn't have in its mouth. Jimmy John's hot peppers can't come close to this level of disastrous heat that lives...
