I dropped my ring off for an appraisal 1/18. Was informed it would take about a weeks time. Ok, no problem. Over a week later (today is 1/28) and I had to call them for an update. The update... they've misplaced my engagement ring, wedding band and anniversary band. I'm still waiting for a call back right now.
Edited: Added a star because I had to call them back! To find that they DO have my wedding ring set and I'm happy it's not lost as the very first customer service rep made it seem. 3 reps later and apparently it's been found and is available for me to pick up. Suffice to say I won't be back and we've been generational customers at their various locations. Nope 👎
Edit again:
Here's what should have happened. If/when someone gets sick or has unforseen consequences in their lives, their workflow should not be so isolated that customers are left in the dark. I honestly wouldn't have cared if it'd taken 3 weeks. Communication was necessary to change my initial expectation per a conversation and agreement at drop off. Further, service representatives should not be so pressed to answer a customer's question that they bumble out something misleading and straight concerning for basic questions. Answering something like, "You know, that is outside my department, but I will certainly check with our manager and get back to you shortly. May I have your call back number?" OR "Let me see if I can get someone from that department on the line. Would you please hold?" I advise the call back. But either works. Use it as a teaching moment and call it a day. This isn't typical BC Clarks service. I am aware. Their service is mixed up in so many memories I have and we may not be back but that's the economy. I'd say this was an off day and definitely not their norm. They deserve a chance to wow you. This was still a 2 star experience for me overall and I stand with my original rating.
4-5 stars all the other times so benefit of the doubt is encouraged.
Thanks...
Read moreWas at the mall wasting time with my daughter before our reservation at Shogun. So we decided to stop in BC Clark and look around. Worst mistake ever!! While a couple of the sales people were friendly I dont appreciate the snarky comment I received from the one older lady. I commented on a beautiful bracelet to my daughter and she comes over and says it's fun to just be able to look isn't it? What!? Her attitude and tone implied I was only able to look and couldn't afford anything in the store!! I was appalled!! I still am!! What a horrible first experience for my daughter! I won't be back EVER!!! That lady needs an attitude adjustment! My second problem was the security guard following us around like we were thieves!! They even had the nerve to lock us in the store! I thought the store had closed when he had to unlock the door and let us out. So I told him oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you all had closed, he replied rudely, oh were not. I didn't know what to say besides oh ok to him! I also don't understand why the security guard put on his gloves while watching us with a scowl on his face.I was looked down at, judged, locked in, and followed around like a criminal. I went to school with Mitchell Clark and we were friends. Sad to see how this store has become so snotty!! I have told many people about my experience and will continue to do so!! My dad has bought many things for my mom from your store! I received my first pair of pearl earrings from your store 32 years ago! After hearing this my Dad said he will never buy anything there again! And I won't be back! You really should think twice before speaking especially when you really have no clue who you're speaking to!!

Read moreWe are very disappointed with our experience at BC Clark. My husband surprised me for our 45 th anniversary and took me to their North Park mall store to purchase a ring which was north of $7000. Upon paying their 20% deposit and getting sized the associate assured us we would have it by Monday or Tuesday the following week. No word, so we made another trip to their store on Monday and got sized again. 2 days later, still no call. We started getting annoyed at their lack of professionalism and excuses for not following through. The sales lady actually called and said she never wrote down my ring size after 2 previous visits. This should not be this difficult. We decided to return to the store and told the associate to refund our money, we will take our business to someone who actually cares about their customers. Not one word from a manager or owner to resolve this. We promptly left their store and headed to the jewelry store at May & Wilshire. Oh my goodness! What a difference in the customer experience! We actually spoke with both of the owners and purchased a beautiful ring. It was sized and on my finger within 15 minutes! They actually have 4 jewelers in their store. Word of advice if you are looking for an outstanding customer service experience; bypass BC Clark and head to May & Wilshire. You honestly won’t be...
