My husband and I have used Huntington’s for 5.5 years now. We have always loved them. Always so incredibly kind.
However, today we had the worst experience we have ever had there. We likely, will never go back again, unfortunately. My husbands birthday was yesterday. He received a text stating that he had a $100 off coupon for his birthday. So we were in the area and decided to go up there and shop. We set a price point before going in, and explained this to Sean which is who we were told to ask for when we went in. He continually was showing us things 3-4x more than our price point. (We have 3 young children, and are in the middle of a complete live in remodel.. we aren’t going to spend tons of money right now.) After multiple times of telling him over and over that we are not spending that kind of money when being shown pieces. He went and got another sales person who pushed us so incredibly hard that it made me anxious and frustrated. We literally felt as though we were being pressured to the point of feeling forced to make a purchase. Finally we decided that we wanted to go eat and talk about it first. As we were trying to leave the woman and Sean both came over and cornered us so to speak. There was so much pressure, on us. As if they were just so desperate for a sale. She even tried to pressure me into buying these beautiful diamond studs that she supposedly “pulled from the VIP stash” (they were just base studs already boxed. She started out saying “well I cannot hold them for you” to which we replied, “that’s fine we are going to go grab some lunch and talk it over first.” And that’s when she changed her story and said “I am going to hold them for you. I’ll put them back with your name on them.” The complete manipulation and lying was the last straw for us.
I am so incredibly sad about this experience. We have loved Huntington’s because of their kind, understanding, no-pressure environment. They were such an amazing family owned and operated business when we used them in the past. Very very...
Read moreTook a ring in to have it resized. They asked what we knew about the ring. We didn't know much. My Dad had just gifted the ring to my wife from my deceased mom. She looked it through her eye piece for a while and then said let's go see what it's made of. She took it to her "machine" to evaluate it. When she came back out she apologized and said it was a stainless steel/sterling silver mix with cubic zarconia stones. Completely fine but not what my dad thought it was. She said It would not be worth the cost to re-size but still could for sentimental reasons if we chose to. The cost to resize the stainless would be $160. She also had other stones with her that she wanted to show my wife to update her existing wedding ring. I stepped out to phone my dad knowing he had no idea it was not real. He told me he still had the paperwork from the original purchase and that he would be contacting them. I walked back in Huntingtons still accepting what she had originally told me about the ring. I explained that he still had the paperwork and that we would take it up with them. Everything changed once she realized we still had the paperwork. She said well "wait a minute, let's go have our experts make sure". She came back out and said "I'm sorry, there must have been a mistake with our machine. It's 14k gold and the diamonds are real". She knew from the beginning what she was looking at and chose to go the shady route and either try to make an up-sale or who knows what would have happened if we would have left it there to be re-sized. Crazy what people will try to make a buck at...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming, and I admit I should have written it years ago. 1st I have been a customer since; it's been several years I do not know the exact timeframe. In those years, I have purchased several watches, rings, earrings, and a necklace. The necklace was my most recent purchase from my daughter to my wife for mothers day.
