So back in March of 2017 I purchased a radio for my car from these guys. I wanted the cheapest Alpine radio, and I wanted it to connect to my steering wheel controls. When I went to have it installed, they told me that they failed to realize the cheapest model wasn’t capable of steering wheel controls. So the gave me the next model up that came with Bluetooth and some other cool features for no extra charge! About a month later my steering wheel controls stopped working, I took it back to them, and they fixed it up free of charge! (loose wire)
Fast forward to late October. I had decided a while back that I didn’t like the radio (paragraph 3 for the reason), but I previously hadn’t had the time to drive up and work something out. I wasn’t expecting they would be willing to swap it out for another after 7 months. I was hoping to at least sell it back to them and buy a different one. I talked to Scott, and he was gracious enough to swap it out for a Kenwood free of charge! He was not obligated to do this by any means. So all-in-all, I paid for the cheapest Alpine Radio, got the next model up, and ultimately ended up with a Kenwood with similar features as the previous Alpine. Jackie Cooper has the best customer service bar none. I highly recommend them to say the least, and I will be purchasing any other stereo equipment from them in the future. Thank you guys!
The reason I didn’t like the radio was because it automatically started playing my Apple Music once I plugged in my phone and had the radio on the USB setting. I am a delivery driver for Dominos, and I like to listen to YouTube videos while I’m driving sometimes. With a lot of the videos, you have to turn the sound up to hear them. So when I get out of the car, get back in, and start it up, it will start playing my Apple Music (which it plays a significantly higher volume), and just about blow out my eardrums. I’ve tried everything I can to stop this, but I could not figure out a way. I have a Kenwood radio in my truck, and it doesn’t have...
Read moreI have a 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD, which sits low to the ground and has a Lexus-style front grill, but does not come with a front-grill camera or curb-alert system. I checked with several after-market shops, but they all refused to look at my new car, or had no experience installing these devices. I then got a recommendation to contact Jackie Cooper Tint & Electronics (JCE). I spoke with Tristan Osborn, their Mobile Electronics Specialist, who said, “Yes, I think we can help you. When can you bring your car by and let me look at it?” I was totally impressed by his willingness to at least look at my car before saying no, unlike the other shops that just blew me off. After looking at my car, Tristan said he would need to do some research to see what type of front-grill camera system might or could work with my new car’s electrical and rear-camera system. There was still no guarantee anything would work, but at least Tristan was willing to look into it before saying no. After a few days, Tristan called me back and said he had found a front-grill camera system that he thought would work. He had run several tests using it and was very pleased with the results. We set up an appointment for me to bring my car in and get it installed. I picked it up yesterday, and am extremely impressed with how well the front-grill camera system works with the factory installed rear-camera system. And, the front camera has a much better, clearer, picture than the rear camera. I sincerely thank Tristan and Jackie Cooper Tint & Electronics (JCE) for their high-quality workmanship and their incredible customer service! I highly recommend contacting Tristan at JCE first for all your automotive electronic services. I’ll definitely be back! Thanks Tristan and...
Read moreHad an appointment to fix my audio, as I told them it was buzzing and had bad buzzing when I used my heated seats. They said they would rerun the wires because they weren't ran correctly which is why I have buzzing. I also agreed to upgrade my head unit. We live 2.5 hours from here but they had a good reputation so seemed worth the trip. After $2200 and sitting there from 10am until 5 with my family of 4 we headed home. About an hour into the drive my phone kept disconnecting from the truck and wouldn't play music or the music would stay connected but no audio would come out of the speakers. Called the next day and scheduled to go back the following week. They thought it may be the head unit so they switched it out with a different one. 2 weeks later my speakers start to buzz again and my head unit still doesn't play what it's supposed to or says it's playing something and no sound comes out. I called back to try to figure out what to do or what the problem was. The main guy I had been talking with wasn't there and was told that he would call me the next day. I never received a call back and I'm tired of the run around. My speakers still cut out, the wires got rerun but they cut the old ones and left them in the door. They halfway do a job and then don't want to fix it. My whole system sounds awful. The speakers sometimes start playing really loud and cut out on one side and I have to turn it up all the way to level it out and then it sounds terrible in a different way. They get attitudes when the work that they did messed up....do it right the first time and don't be lazy and there won't be a problem. Tristan was super rude on the phone and talks to people like they're stupid. 10 hours of driving and my sound system...
