don’t come here they waste your time. i’ve been here 13 times that past week. i came to get my phone back glass replaced and the guy told me my battery was bad so i can the next week (last week) to get my battery changed. i then go and i get told it would be a hour wait. i then walk around for a hour and come back and find out that he broke my back glass. i was chill about it till he told me come next week on tuesday. i said okay it’s fine he put a different screen on it, as im walking out i noticed my front glass is half way popped out i go in and ask him about it and he took it apart again to put it back in place. i kid you not as i walk back out i try turning off my phone and it will not turn off so i had to go back again and asking him about it and he “didn’t know how it broke” and said “it’s okay ill order another part” i said wtv i was already late for work and needed to leave. this week on tuesday i go ready to get my phone fixed and there is a different person there and the lady then tells me she can’t do it and if i can come back tomorrow. after 30 minutes of leaving she calls me and asked me to come back because she wanted to confirm that it was the same blue i needed and i drove 40 minutes back and she showed me them and then told me that’s all i needed thank you. today i go ready to finally be over with the messed up phone i have now because of them. i leave it and they say come in 30 minutes i said okay that’s fine ill wait outside. i come back and they tell me another 30 minutes. i said okay and left again i didn’t leave the mall because by the time i did get home the phone would already be ready. the last time i came they said it’s too complicated and he needs a hour and by this time i didn’t know the time because i had no device on me and told them this keep happening i need my phone are they sure it’s just a hour they need and they tell me yes. i left for work and had my sister go pick it up for me. when she brought my phone to me the back glass was popped out to where you put your case on it will crack and the volume button was messed up and then the slide button to mute your messages was also stuck on mute and said no sims card. i then had to leave work to settle things to get all these things fixed again. don’t ever go to this place you will need to keep coming back over and over again and just argue with you that it’s a...
Read moreI confirmed at the front desk they had the parts for my repair (ss gs20 fe dark blue). I dropped off the phone and came back an hour later and the frame is not the right color. Now my phone has a mismatched sim tray and back glass. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT PARTS DO NOT DO LIE AND SAY YOU DO THEN DO THE REPAIR WITH THE WRONG PARTS. What a joke.
update 1: The screen they put on chipped within 5 hours of picking up.
update 2: The next morning my battery started to swell, indicating that they had damaged my battery and reused it anyway. I went to the store to get them to fix the battery and the kid tried to use a off-brand (power cell??) battery that was 1. not the same wattage 2. not the same capacity. I pointed this out and he carried on. The phone would not charge or power on with the wrong battery (imagine that) so he then used the correct Samsung battery. I stood there and watched the whole thing. I asked several times through both my visits if they use genuine Samsung parts and was lied to each time. I have no doubt they used an off-brand screen as a replacement because of the brazen behavior I've witnessed and the fact that the poor quality screen cracked within 5 hours from handling change in the same hand as my phone. Not a drop, a coin rubbing the edge of the glass caused the chip.
I called the corporate HQ (this place is a chain) and was dismissed, called careless, told I was lying, and told I must know nothing about phones because there is no such thing as a generic screen for my phone. In fact, there are hundreds of listing on Amazon for cheap replacement screens that are listed as LCD not AMOLED. Because I know nothing there is no way I could know it was not a genuine Samsung screen.
I will be getting my screen replaced at a reputable repair shop and keeping the trash they installed as proof of their deception when I dispute the charges with my bank.
Never have I experienced a business this shady. Avoid this place if you value your time and money. I guarantee if the kid had permanently destroyed my phone I would have been blamed and looking to buy an new device. buyer beware. How they have such a positive google rating...
Read moreMy husband and I went into this location over the weekend and let me just say WE will not suggest or step foot into this location again. My husband's screen on his I phone 6 PLUS was separating from the phone itself. EVERYTHING on the phone was in working order other then the screen. We asked the Manager Zack if he could help us out. He said he could with no problem. Everything was going fine until I heard one of the employees say I can't get the screen to come back on. So they got another screen. Said that the one they used must be bad. Then the Manager Zack kinda takes control of the situation. The employees of the store were confused on what they were fixing on the phone. It's like the assistant took the phone from my husband and handed it to a trainee and didn't tell him what to fix exactly. The kid goes oh your screen isn't cracked. So after we are way confused on how we came in with a fully operational phone to a phone where the screen won't turn on. The assistant proceeds to put the phone back together. While doing so he said that the mother board has gone bad and there is nothing they can do about it. Said I would have to take it Apple to have them replace it. I asked how much is that going to cost. He said almost as much as the phone. He finishes putting the phone back together and hands it back to my husband. NOT ONE TIME DID THIS GENERAL MANAGER ZACK APOLOGIZE for screwing up my husbands phone. I called Apple and they assured me that the mother board could not be damaged if the phone still receives calls, powers on, rings, ect..... So all in all the Penn Square Mall location may want to put the Manager back into training to learn what the hell he is doing. Or your just going to get bad reviews. We went in for a $90 fix and ended up paying over $200.00 to get an upgrade to get a new phone because of his negligence. I wish i didn't even have to give you guys one star. That guy...
