Disgustingly Filthy Dirty.
The location of the Marshalls I am reviewing is 1004 US Highway 9, Parlin, NJ 08859.
I have been in many other Marshalls stores before and I have never seen one like this. Upon entering the store I noticed how dirty the floor was. There are many brown spots everywhere and there is a massive amount of what I can only imagine is chewing gum stuck to the floor that is within eyesight of everywhere you stand in the store.
In the really gross spots there are clusters of it. By far the most disgusting thing I experienced in there today was when I picked up a package of LED lights. When I put my hand on it I felt something sticky. I turned it over to see what it was and saw a brown film with chunks of some kind of small crystals on it. I have no idea what it was but I was really not happy at that moment. I did consider going into the bathroom to wash my hands but I will confess the thought of it left me a little frightened at what I might find in there.
The floors in the store are bad enough reason to not walk in there again. However the inventory on the shelves also leaves much to be desired when it comes to cleanliness and organization.
I would like to ask the people who run Marshalls, what exactly is going on at this store? Do you have regional managers that walk into your stores to inspect them? I have been in other Marshalls and I have never seen one like this. Who in this store is responsible for the cleanliness of it? Why has it been so long since the floors were properly cleaned? I am certain this level of Filth did not just accumulate since last week, last month and probably not even in the past 6 months. This is the first time I was in this Marshalls however I have been in this particular shopping center many times. The store always looks like there's a decent amount of cars parked outside of it so I simply don't understand why it's not being cleaned. I certainly would not imagine you would give the excuse that you cannot afford to do so.
I might even consider calling the Middlesex County Board of Health and letting them know that they might want to go in there and have a look around.
In closing I will say this to Marshalls. See to it that the store is cleaned up properly, send me an email when that is done. I will forget about calling the Board of Health and I will take this review down if the...
   Read moreIâve been coming to this Marshalls for YEARS! Never have I ever been denied a return at any store. I had bought a pair of Steve Madden sandals that I had for 3 DAYS ! I decided to wear them and I noticed when I walked outside to my CAR, they were too big on me so I go back inside and CHANGE. I went to go return them along with another pair of sandals I bought the same day as these. The manager accepts the other pair but didnât like that the bottoms of the Steve Maddens werenât in perfect condition after I walked in them like 20 steps. I thought it was disgusting of her denying a return, I had the receipt and tag, what more do you want ? Let me have my $30 back ! Unbelievable. To be honest, not even sure how the bottoms looked like when I got them. Really disappointed. Clearly doesnât know how to to be a manager, they need a new one desperately, not sure if her name was Nutan. Whenever I shop at Marshallâs I do notice some imperfections in some of the clothing/shoes, so this was beyond ridiculous. And guess what ?    Read moreMarch 25, 2023 At 9:11pm I was at register 4 and I purchased 2 pan which cost $47. 96 printer was not working so receipt didnât print so i asked for reprint of receipt and he tried but he wasnât sure how to do then NIGHT MANAGER NUTAN came try to print but she didnât know her job how to reprint the recipt and accept for finding solution how to reprint she asked me to do another transaction. I payed from apple pay so i was seeing in my apple pay that transaction already done money deduced from apple pay then she asked me to repurchase the item and said come back tomorrow if u dont get refunded. So i asked something for proof that this scenario happened Nutan was so rude and walked away without any further information given. Finally another coordinator came and help me with receipt so how come she knows how to reprint and this night manager doesnât know. Basically NUTAN wanted twice money.
