Texas Roadhouse is literally 5 minutes from where I reside. However, my husband and I never visited Texas Roadhouse until a few years ago. The food was good and during our visit the manager came to our table to greet us, since it was our first time dining at their establishment. I thought this was a nice touch. He even provided us with a coupon for a discount that we could utilize the next time we visited Texas Roadhouse.
Recently, my husband and I visited Texas Roadhouse a second time for our wedding anniversary. The food was even better this time around, if that is even possible. đ I wish I took pictures of everything we ordered, but I got sidetracked with how delicious everything looked.
We started with the buffalo boneless chicken as an appetizer, which was very good. Also, upon being seated we were immediately provided with their staple buttered rolls with their specialty whipped cinnamon butter. Goodness, these rolls are so good. My husband and I said âyesâ unanimously when we were offered a second basket of these rolls.
I ordered the chicken tenders for my entree with the string beans and house salad as my sides. Let me just say, there homemade dressings are amazing from the honey mustard to the Italian dressing. Even the string beans were delicious. How?!? Why do string beans taste this good?
There is nothing fancy about chicken tenders, so I was not expecting much. However, the tenders literally melted in my mouth. Talk about elevating chicken tenders. My husband ordered the steak with steak fries and warm apple slices as his sides. He finished his whole plate with the exception of a small piece of his steak. I do not like to throw food away, even if it is a very small amount so I ended up eating the small piece of steak that was left. Now, I do not like steak at all. I actually hate steak; most times it is flavorless and a chewy mess.
However, my experience at Texas Roadhouse was different. The steak was juicy, easy to chew, and seasoned very well. Additionally, I opt out of deserts at most restaurants unless I had them before and know what to expect; 9 out of 10 times they are not good.
My husband did get a desert: the strawberry cheesecake. It needed to be thawed out a bit as it was a bit frozen. However, the crust of the cheesecake was so good (ahh, the simple things) and the flavor was great. Overall, our experience was a good one. The only feedback I have is that our waitress for the night was just okay.
I had to prompt her to get us items that any observant waitress/ waiter would have picked up on. Also, the check-in experience was confusing and needs to be refined especially since Texas Roadhouse draws huge crowds. Texas Roadhouse for sure will continue to draw crowds as they are one of the few food establishments whose quality of food has...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Texas Roadhouse in New Brunswick, and I must say it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! From the warm and welcoming ambiance to the incredibly delicious food, every aspect of my visit was outstanding.
Let's start with the famous free appetizer bread and butter. As soon as I sat down, a basket of freshly baked, warm bread was brought to the table. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water! The bread was soft and fluffy on the inside, with a slightly crispy crust. And oh, the butter! It was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly complemented the bread. It's no wonder this appetizer is renowned and loved by all Texas Roadhouse fans.
Moving on to the main course, I ordered the 12-ounce Ribeye steak cooked to medium-rare perfection. It was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The steak was seasoned just right, allowing the natural flavors of the meat to shine through. The portion size was generous, and the steak was served with a side of perfectly seasoned fries and a fresh salad. Each bite was an absolute delight!
The service at Texas Roadhouse was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile, and my server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and fun, with country music playing in the background, adding to the overall charm of the place. The interior was well-maintained, clean, and had a rustic charm that made me feel right at home.
In conclusion, Texas Roadhouse in New Brunswick exceeded my expectations in every way. From the mouthwatering free appetizer bread and butter to the delectable main course, the dining experience was simply outstanding. I highly recommend visiting Texas Roadhouse to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a friendly and inviting environment. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Note: Please keep in mind that this review was written based on my personal experience, and the quality of the restaurant may...
Read moreI like to support local businesses. I live in town and most of my time and money are spent locally. Tonight we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse at the Gateway Shopping Center. When we arrived it was fully packed which was to be expected on a Saturday night in the middle of College football season. We were called in, and a not so friendly staff member led us to our table. There we were promptly greeted by our host. We placed our order. Started off by trying the dinner rolls which were unfortunately undercooked. Usually those are a highlight; not tonight. Our order arrived after a not too long wait considering the large crowd. Thatâs when things took a down turn. I ordered the ribs. I always order their ribs. Tonight it wasnât a smart choice. They were dry. Overcooked. Not the kind of fall off the bone, lick your fingers while you smile kind of ribs that Iâve come to expect. We also ordered a smother steak and it was more overwhelmed than smothered. We were asked how was the food and sheepishly stated it wasnât at par. Soon after a young staff member who identified as one of the managers came by to ask the same question. We gave the same answer. The manager in question confidently stated: âsee me before you go!â We paid our bill and left three quarters of our meal on the table. On the way out we figured weâd try to see her once again as she had suggested. Well we did. As soon as we approached the front desk she looked at us, looked down and turned around. Not a word to be said. I get the fact that it was crowded and that not every meal, every time is going to be a home run or a touchdown. It comes with the territory of eating out. What is highly disappointed is when you are encouraged to see the person running the show and then they look away to avoid a conversation. I wasnât looking for a free meal. Never have. Never will. What I did want was a chance to discuss the circumstances, but was not afforded the opportunity. Sadly enough, it is the last time we...
