If I could give them 0 starts I would.. Requested Repair for a cracked front screen on a Samsung galaxy s 20 plus. My fiance was told it would take 30 min to fix when I brought the phone in the gentleman told me 2 hrs. When I went back to the shop the front screen was repaired but I was told he dropped my phone and shattered the back screen. They would order a new part and call me when it was in. The next day I noticed my phone was not charging and had plastic pieces and glue coming out of the sides. I took it in and they told me the may have connected something wrong. Another hour and two trips of wasted time. They fixed the problem. the following day the guy called me to inform me that the back was in. At this point this is my 6th trip there. Got the back replaced and that was that. I noticed that there was a slight scratch on the front of my phone but I didn't want to make a big deal about it. The following days to come that scratch spidered out of control and when I took my phone case off the back was shattered as well. (And no I did not drop my phone) Now it's my 8th trip. I was very very patient with them. When I showed my phone to the guy he said he could fix the back but not the front. At this point I wanted to call corporate but apparently there is no such thing. They gave me a head quarters number. When I called head quarters I was informed that I was calling a different franchise and had it been them they would replace it. They also told me they would have the oldsmar franchise call me. That never happened. This went on for about a week. I got the round about untill I cut my losses And went to batteries plus in Dunedin. Do yourselves a favor DO NOT use these people. They use cheap parts. They are very unperfessional and they are scammers. The only person who know what he is doing there is a guy named Greg. They even had a sign that said no food or beverage and there were two bottles of water sitting on the counter near parts. I will be calling the better business buero on them just so people don't have to deal with what I dealt with.. I am surprised at the higher number of positive reviews. They have wasted a lot of my time. Had to pay a whole other deductible and fix stuff I never had an issue with to begin with. The most frustrating aspect is their lack of...
Read moreI usually not the kind of person that leaves a bad review but in this case I feel like it was very unfair what happen to me and this store. I took my IPhone XS Max to get the screen replaced. They charge me around $240 to replace it. I got the phone back and everything seem right. After a few weeks I started to notice that my iPhone was very unresponsive and I decided to take it to the store to see what was going on. They said that there was something wrong with the screen an under warranty they would replace it. I pick up the phone later that day and went home. Around 7 pm I received a phone call and I noticed that I couldn’t hear anything. I asked my wife to call me and that’s when I realized that there was something going on with the phone (keep in mind that this was for a screen replacement nothing wrong with the ear speaker). I took it the next day and after a few hours of them diagnosing the phone they told me that it was not their fault and if I wanted fix I have to pay an extra $50. For more that they explain that it was not their fault, they were the only ones who open the phone. The explanation that I got also was that something happen in those 24 hours that I had the phone before telling them what was going on. Not happy with this since even though I pay almost $240 to get it “fix” and now had to get a new phone because I didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Really sad...
Read moreIt is rare that I write reviews but I really feel compelled to do so for these guys. I have had multiple devices fixed at Dr Phone Fix & Repair in Oldsmar. The great price is a motivator of course, but they have proven to me repeatedly that I can trust them. And I'm talking about more than just doing quality work; they do. Once I had my phone in for repair, got it back and within a month or two (maybe more, can't recall) it started acting up again. Okay it's old ... I'll take it back in. When I went to pick it up the second time, they said it was their error; something not done correctly on their part the last time they fixed it; no charge. They could have totally charged me and I would be none the wiser. Another similar experience with my laptop but it wasn't due to an error on their part; I was expecting a fairly pricey repair, gave them $50 diagnostic fee and when I picked it up, no additional charge, it wasn't a pricey repair after all. So I trust them and I don't know if it is just this particular staff who is so good or if it's the way the company is run in general. The latter I hope, but kudos to the team in Oldsmar because everyone I've dealt with there is worth writing a five...
