We were treated to a show by one of the worst excuses for a manager Iâve ever seen. My girlfriend, her 2 year old daughter and myself stopped at this establishment for ice cream 2 Sundays ago. We were there about 8:15 pm. The store has a small dining area, 4 tables against the front windows. We ordered our food and ice cream, sat down to enjoy it and thatâs what we did for about 5 mins. The fellow I assume is the location manager came out and pushed 2 of the tables in the corner and stacked the chairs. The stores hours indicate they are open until 11:00 pm⌠While rude enough I chalked it up to another inexperienced manager without a clue how to treat customers. Now, while this gentleman was walking back into a kitchen of chuckling teenagers, he made the comment; â Think that is obvious enough?â I can feel the anger building up inside of me, but our friend wasnât done yet⌠No, the next comment to ooze from his face was âMaybe I should get on the loudspeaker and say ATTENTION DINE IN CUSTOMERSâ. (Something to that effect at this point, my head was spinning, and I could no longer hear) Rather than drag the little weasel outside and give him a spanking in front of the whole drive-through. We calmly got up and left. I made sure to loudly let everyone know weâre leaving now.
Never have I ever been so Rudely treated by a so-called manager thatâs supposed to be an expert in customer service/relations. What a...
Read moreWe drive from Tarpon Springs to this the tampa/clearwater store, about 15mins away. The last 2 times we went there to and ordered via drive thru, we got 4 medium blizzards. i'm not sure what has happened to this store but they have become very chintzy with the ingrediants. All 4 of the blizzard had almost no toppings at all, if I was in store i would have walked it up to the counter and showed them that it was mostly just vanilla icecream, but I was bringing them home for others so didn't really have that option, and I shouldn't have to examine them before leaving the drive thru.
So all i have to say it, other customers beware .. not sure if it's because i got them via drive thru, or if i have to tell them to add extra toppings to actually get some, but honestly.. paying for a blizzard which DQ is most known for, and getting a cut of normal ice cream is not what i'm going out of my way to get in the future.
This store really needs to correct this or they will lose all there customers. Not looking forward to driving 15mins to get this type of service again, that's for sure.
Edit:: you. Mention about calling you, but unsure who to call to talk to about this. I can respect the offer, as I work for the Corp office of a large food chain with roughly 280 stores, so I know where you are coming from. Always who should I contact...
Read moreMy recent visit to the Oldsmar Dairy Queen was nothing short of astonishing! I walked in right as they were hit with what could only be described as an absolute onslaughtâaround 15 people flooded the lobby, while the drive-thru snaked back at least eight cars deep. What would have sent most fast-food teams into a complete meltdown, this incredible crew handled with breathtaking composure. Not a single flicker of panic, not an ounce of stress. Instead, they moved with an almost balletic efficiency, each team member seamlessly anticipating the next step, supporting one another, and most remarkably, maintaining a genuinely friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The energy in the store was positive and upbeat, despite the immense pressure.
It was truly inspiring to witness such a high level of teamwork and professionalism. This isn't just a Dairy Queen; it's a shining example of how a dedicated and cohesive team can not only survive but thrive under pressure, turning a potential chaos into a smooth, enjoyable experience for every customer.
Major, major praise to the entire Oldsmar Dairy Queen team! You guys are absolutely phenomenal and deserve all the accolades. I'll be back, not just for the delicious treats, but to witness your operational...
