Family Fare Supermarket — Local services in Omaha

I avoided that store for months due to a very rude woman with a NJ accent who was working there and another employee. They were extremely rude to me. Not to mention their prices are always way higher then walmarts and even hyvee. When I was in self ck out I wanted cash back, but was unsure of my pin, I knew it had to be 1 of 3. As soon as I tried the first yime a tall man with dark hair who was watching self service came over. I told him I didn't need assistance, but thanked him, he ran over and got the woman. She ran over to watch me with her hands on her hips, as I tried the second time. In Very rude and condescending manner let's out a big sigh. Oh, it won't work if there's no money on it. I felt absolutely mortified and humiliated. Then I ignored her and tried the last time and took my cash. She goes oh well you do have money then. I told him I didn't need help. I didn't need all that attention. It was ridiculous. I just wanted to let everyone know what type of people work there. I used yo go in there a couple time a week. They keep losing customers and...

July 14: Was very disappointed when I stopped at the 5110 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68137 location to get some groceries. After getting a few things I stopped to get some fried chicken and was told they didn’t have enough for a 10 piece and they were done cooking chicken for the night. It was only 6:30pm. When buying my other groceries I asked the cashier why they shut down so early and he said he doesn’t know why and that they still work until 9:30pm. I had to buy dinner elsewhere.

July 22: about 6:15pm decided to try again and they only had a few pieces of chicken left that looked like they have been sitting there for too long. Once again the fryers were shut off already .On my way out after making a purchase I Spoke with someone that was in charge and she informed that the fryers are supposed to be on until 7:15pm and that they guy working them just shuts them down whenever he feels like it. This is a very nice local supermarket. The deli meals are a great deal, especially the $6.99 chicken meal deals on Wednesdays, and the premade subs last a couple meals.The store is super clean and a pleasure to walk through. Not too much foot traffic to block you up either. The only reservations I have to giving a 5 star review are some canned products, which really probably aren't their fault, and the checkout lines. I got some canned goods and opened two in a row for dinner one night to find both of them bad, which, like I said, is out of their control (probably due to the low amount of customers keeping new product flowing). Regarding the checkout lines, I've been here a couple of times so far and only once was someone actually manning a station. If you hate self checkout as much as I do, that will upset you.
