If I could give 10 stars for food and service each, I would. We went knowing we would over order to have leftovers to take home. We started with the Spicy Edamame and fried Mandoo (dumplings). The Edamame had just enough spice to entice 3 or 4 more edamame in quick concession without feeling like the spice level has blown out your taste buds and the dumplings, which were delicious on their own had an unassuming little cup of dipping sauce. I'm not sure what this sauce was, but it could be sold by the gallon, and I"d buy it. For the entrees we ordered the Beef Bulgogi, Beef Bibimbap, and Tteokbokki. The beef practically melted in your mouth from both dishes which were expertly made, and the side accompaniments were perfectly spiced and arranged for each dish. This was the first time I've had authentic Tteokbokki, normally I get microwave Tteokbokki from Amazon which are extremely dense but still delicious. The Tteokbokki were little spicy pillows of heaven. Had I known, I would have just ordered multiple Tteokbokki dishes instead. It's listed as a 🌶️🌶️🌶️ slice level which scared me a bit, but no. It's so perfectly spiced and balanced. Best food I've eaten in my entire life. I HIGHLY recommend on the food alone. Generous portions, variety, and good value. The staff is the other reason we'll be returning. So very friendly, and accommodating. Hands on without making you feel uncomfortable as though they are watching you eat. Maru Sushi Grill restaurant is 3 hours from home in Missouri. We were here to go to the Omaha zoo and just so happened to find this restaurant. In the future I can 100% state that the 3 hour trip both ways is so worth it to travel just to eat at Maru Sushi Korean Grill, which we will...
Read moreI ordered delivery of pork BBQ and shrimp ceviche. Sadly it really seemed like they took the lazy way out. ZERO shrimp, not one also it was ketchup based with no lime or spice. The BBQ was not grilled but looked to be microwaved. None of the sides to make wraps were included, no bonchon, no sauce. I noticed that other customer have complained that takeaway is missing all the sides and sauces. So I posted this twice. "please include gochujang and sides(kimchi) to make lettuce wraps. additional charge is ok. Kam sa meda."
I did not buy the $10.99 bolgoligi but the $15.99 under "Korean BBQ"
I love Korean BBQ. I had it in Latvia and Lithuanian just this year. I lived in Korea for a year. Of my last 30 first dates 17 of them have been at Korean BBQ restaurants. $15.99 for pork that even a trained chef would guess it was microwaved or steamed is not a good deal. What Korean has ever served BBQ without gochujang??? To me this is just a F/U to Nebraskans. How do you make BBQ grilled meat taste bland?
I might try to eat there in-person but I will ask many questions before I order to make sure they understand what Korean food it. As of now It is more like A Puerto Rican Japanese eatery. Never ever will I order delivery unless something major changes.
You can buy great gochujang and side at the Asian supermarket by Crossroads mall. That is what I...
Read moreSuch a delicious and fresh, and friendly Korean Sushi Grill and restaurant. We enjoyed plum wine and appetizers, and Miso soup while we waited for our Korean BBQ Special, Seafood soup, and Beef Udon noodles. They also provided a complimentary plate of kimchi , bean sprouts, broccoli and potatoes. The staff was so kind to prepare the BBQ for us as this was our first time experiencing something you cook yourself at the table. It was so fun and flavorful. They explained what to pair with which bites of food. I hadn't had kimchi before. It is so full of flavor and spicy. The BBQ beef was prepared with onions, and the. You place it in romaine hearts and top with black bean paste, jalapeño, garlic slivers....bursting with flavors ! The seafood soup was spicy and had jumbo shrimp, mussels, octopus, and clams. The Udon noodles were perfectly chewy and delicious. We had a great lunch and had leftovers to take for later. I highly recommend this Korean Grill, we will try the Sushi next time. They have a robust menu of rolls. Friendly staff that show pride...
