Top 10% Omaha Reviewer. Follow me on here or Instagram @markthisplacedown for more reviews. Went to Astoria Biryani House this weekend and had a delightful meal and experience! WHAT I ORDERED Vegetarian Thali. It had so many small dishes that I can’t recall every thing that was on there, but this was a great option if you wanted to try a little bit of everything. The Thali was a really fun eating experience as I’ve never had it before. The spiciest thing on here wasn’t super spicy (maybe a 4/10). If you love Naan you’re going to have to order an extra side of it with this meal. MENU The menu is massive and if you aren’t a frequent eater of Indian food (like myself) it can get a little overwhelming. There are a lot of tasty looking vegetarian and non-veg options along with Indo Chinese dishes on their menu. The best ones have pictures so that’s a major plus. For a full menu visit astoriaomaha.com VISITING CONDITIONS I came here with my buddy around lunchtime on a Saturday and it wasn’t very busy. ESTABLISHMENT Astoria is a medium-sized family owned restaurant. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and have nice wood tiled floors. They probably have around 10-12 four person tables/booths. STAFF The staff was very nice and accommodating. They know the menu well and are able to explain the menu items if you have any questions. Big plus was when the owner came and asked us what we thought about our Thali meals. PRICING Things here are reasonable priced and pretty on-pair with your typical Indian restaurants. Appetizers range from $3-15 and entrees are $10+ (they have giant family meal options as well). LOCATION 5010 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68137 If you like tasty Indian food with plenty of options you can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN as a must try!

So we went to this place for dinner on saturday. Food: Curry - Ordered paneer tikka masala, malai kofta. Clearly, chef doesnot understand the difference in gravy of tikka masala and malai kofta, because both were same, with kofta being slightly spicy. Rice that comes with curry were STALE, bad, we trashed them. We will never give anyone such rice to eat. Malai kofta was good actually in taste. Naans- we ordered mirchi, garlic and onion, all were good. Biryani- we ordered mix veg biryani, i did not liked it as it felt it was prepared say yesterday and did not had a taste of freshness. But my friends loved it. Money - spent $70 including taxes, but felt like wasted it. Could have gone to a cheaper place for same amount. Also, they need to update rates on their website because evrything was expensive in there. Now coming to why I am giving them 1 star where in such case i would end up giving 3 or more stars. They have bar code scanner kept on each table asking to review them for a free desert, and i see almost everyone writing review for that free desert. And the free desert is kheer. As a customer, I feel being robbed and I am super dissapointed because i choose a place to eat based on google review comments.

Biryani House Astoria is an exceptional Indian restaurant that has truly won my heart. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant exudes an authentic Indian ambiance with its tasteful decor, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

One of the first things that struck me was the extensive menu. Biryani House offers a vast array of menu options, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, there's something for everyone here. The diverse selection of dishes is a testament to their commitment to providing an inclusive and comprehensive dining experience.

Quality food is at the heart of what Biryani House has to offer. Every dish I tried was prepared to perfection, reflecting the skill and dedication of the kitchen staff. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the ingredients used were of the highest quality. Their attention to detail and commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients sets them apart from many other Indian restaurants.

The standout feature of Biryani House has to be their biryani. In fact, I can confidently say that it's the best biryani in town. The rice was perfectly cooked, each grain distinct yet tender, and the blend of spices was nothing short of divine. Whether you opt for the classic chicken or the aromatic vegetable biryani, you're in for a treat. The portions are generous, making it an ideal choice for sharing with friends or family.

But it's not just the food that makes Biryani House stand out; it's also the impeccable service. The staff is not only attentive but genuinely friendly. They go the extra mile to ensure you have a delightful dining experience, offering recommendations and accommodating special requests with a smile.

In conclusion, Biryani House in Astoria is a hidden gem among Indian restaurants. With its vast menu options, top-notch quality food, and friendly service, it offers an all-encompassing culinary journey that's worth embarking on. If you're a biryani enthusiast, this place is a must-visit. But regardless of your preferences, Biryani House has something special to offer for everyone. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, and I'll definitely be returning to savor their delightful dishes and warm...

Flavor-Packed Buffet Experience at Astoria Biryani House Omaha – A Must-Visit for Food Lovers

If you’re in or around Omaha and craving bold, authentic Indian flavors, look no further than Astoria Biryani House. I recently had the chance to try their buffet, and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. This place is a hidden gem that delivers not only on variety but also on quality and taste.

The buffet featured an impressive 25+ items, with something for everyone—whether you're a die-hard meat lover or a vegetarian. Highlights included the Karampodi Chicken, which was spicy, crispy, and full of flavor, and the Fish Fry, fried to perfection with a well-balanced blend of spices. The Goat Pulav was aromatic and rich, while the Chicken Dum Biryani nailed that slow-cooked, layered flavor that biryani lovers seek. Even the Veg Kheema Biryani was a standout—flavorful, hearty, and far from an afterthought.

There were also two tasty veg appetizers, adding depth and variety to the meal. And let’s not forget the Tandoori Chicken—easily one of the stars of the buffet. It was juicy, well-marinated, and had that perfect tandoor-charred texture that’s hard to beat.

What really set this buffet apart was the attention to freshness. Hot naan was served directly to the table (a rarity in buffets), and the soup was a comforting start to the meal. On the sweeter side, they offered two types of desserts, providing a nice, simple finish to an otherwise spice-packed feast.

The staff at Astoria Biryani House were friendly and attentive, constantly ensuring the buffet was fresh and well-stocked. The entire setup was clean and well-organized, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through Omaha, Astoria Biryani House is absolutely worth a visit. Perfect for foodies, families, or anyone looking to explore a variety of bold, authentic Indian dishes all in one place. You’ll walk out full, happy, and probably already planning...
